April has been a super busy month! Before we get into the craziness of May, we are taking a short break for some R&R. We will be off the afternoon of this Friday May 1st through Sunday May 3rd. We will return all calls and messages on Monday May 4th!

When a customer calls with a pest issue, we don't just shine a flashlight in a crawlspace and do a quick visual. We go in and get dirty! We started on a rat cleanout today and it was a tough one with only about 18 inches of clearance and a lot of pipes and ductwork.

Did you know rats can squeeze through a hole the size of a quarter? That's about an inch wide! We recently found 2 crawlspace vents where rats were entering and we sealed them with 1/4" hardware cloth. Proper exclusion goes a long way with rodent control. Next week we are installing foam board insulation on the inside of these openings to keep the customer's crawlspace warmer this winter. We are going round and round with rat calls right now. And if you understand that pun, we are probably the same age😉
