This is one of the wildest cases I know of and we’ve all been rooting for Mr. McGuffin and his family since we first learned of this case.

We worked on this case for a period of time and got to see the whole picture. Hopefully they’ll make a documentary about it so everyone can hear the REAL story.

Nicholas McGuffin was convicted in 2011 for the manslaughter of 15-year-old Leah Freeman – a decision that was overturned years later as new information about the case came to light. McGuffin spent nearly a decade behind bars.

This is too good not to share, from one of our favorite Legal Assistants.

Me (to client): Hey, where are you? Its 11:10am and you had an appointment with your attorney at 11am. Are you close?

Client: F*ck - Yes, F*ck I am on 10th street (clearly out of breath)

Me: Um, are you running to our office? We are off 53rd and Elam Young. Still quite a ways from where you are at.

Client: I f*ckin know and my F*in GPS says I can run this s*it in 10 minutes.

Me: So, are you a normal runner or do I need to send the paramedics to your location as it sounds like you are about to pass out.

Client: F*ck, S*it, F*ck, I am so sorry. I am going what my F*ckin GPS says. I really am a F*ck up. I messed this S*it all up.

Me: So, you ARENT a F*ck up. How about I put you through to your attorney by phone. Its OK, we have time before court.

Client: That would be F*ckin great.

Me: So I am going to put you on hold for a few minutes and while you are on hold, why dont you get all F*ck and S*it words out of your system before you speak to your attorney. You can call and cuss at me but don't disrespect the attorney.

Client: You are so F*ckin awesome!
