Most travel advisors start planning for Wave Season by asking...

“What should I do?”

There's actually a lot you CAN do, but what does your business actually NEED??

Before you start adding strategies, setting goals, or filling up your calendar, take a good look at what’s already happening in your business.

Aka start with an audit 😊

Here's the four areas of my business that I like to look at:

→ Essentials
→ Operations
→ Marketing
→ Sales

(Bonus- looking for growth opportunities)

For each one, I review:

What's working?
What didn’t?
Where are the gaps?
What do I want to try?

When you’re looking at your entire business together, it’s really easy to get overwhelmed and feel unsure of where to start.

An audit gives you clarity to what actually needs your attention and where learning something new could make the biggest difference.

You don't have to start from scratch, and you definitely don’t need to fix everything.

Want a jumpstart?

Comment WAVELIST and I’ll send you my Wave Season Checklist, so you can walk through the audit now.

It's official!!

This year, the 6th annual Prep for Wave Week is happening September 21–24!

This event is built for travel advisors just like you, who refuse to walk into Wave Season scattered and unprepared.

Last year, 1,400+ advisors joined us, and this year, I definitely want you in the room.

There are three ways to join, so be sure to pick the level that best matches your goals:

🌊 Free! Special thanks to FyndTravel, Stephanie Cannon, and Korrine | Cruise Business Blueprint for helping to keep this event as accessible as possible.

This level includes the education, the virtual trade show, and the swag bag because you've just gotta be in the room.

🌊 Study Hall takes it to the next level, as you'll also get access to all the live sessions, and we've got 2 new ones this year!

Here's where the sessions start to be applied, and you can mastermind with your peers.

🌊 Study Hall + Plan Your Year Workshop is for the travel advisors wanting to take real action.

Yes, it's August, and yes, I'm already dreaming about next year.

Here's why I bring this up now and not December...

The new year has a sneaky way of showing up fast.

Fall gets busy, then the holidays consume everything, and suddenly, it's January, and you're trying to build a plan while your clients are already booking their trips.

I don't want that scramble for you.

Right now, while things are still a little quieter, all I want is for next year to get on your radar.

Not mapped out, color-coded, or stressed over.

Just… on the map, per se :)

If you want to be the travel advisor who walks into Wave Season already knowing their plan, follow along.

I'll be sharing Wave Season prep + planning tips from here on out.

"Feast or famine" came up more than any other phrase in last year's Prep for Wave Week survey, which 400+ of you filled it out.

This especially comes to mind as this summer I've been working with a travel advisor in this exact spot.

She did the classic hustle marketing when things were slow, then went quiet the second she got busy.

So when busy faded, there was nothing in the pipeline waiting.

Alas slow again, like the ups and downs of your favorite rollercoaster.

She hired me to put the foundational pieces in place so she's always marketing, not just when the panic sets in.

This is the system that keeps running while you're busy.

No matter where you are in that rollercoaster, the thing I always go back to to get back on track is your numbers.

They are essential to setting up any other system in your business, and I've got a handy dandy calculator you can use for this first step.

Comment LGC and I'll send it over, so you can get the first piece of the puzzle solved.

You wouldn't propose on a first date, so why is your feed doing exactly that?

Every "book with me" post to a brand new follower is basically like getting down on one knee before they even know your name.

There's a better way, and it starts with letting your posts do different jobs.

Other things I touch on in this episode:
→ How trust actually gets built (hint, it's slow)
→ The one CTA that's wrong for a brand new follower
→ The three post types your feed is probably missing

If you are a travel advisor whose content feels like shouting into the void, help is here :)
