Imagine with me for just a moment. Take a look at your current living environment. Your house, apartment, trailer, condo, or wherever you live. Think about your daily routine, the things you do on a regular basis such as preparing meals, lounging around, house work, laundry, receiving packages or getting your own mail or even walking through your front door. Now think what you would do if these daily routines were interrupted and you were forced to pack all your belongings up and relocate to a single hotel room equipped with a two drawer dresser, desk, full-size bed, mini fridge, and microwave. Taking away your ability to clean your own room the way you like it, sleep in your own comfortable bed, having everything placed just the way you want it, not having the ability to have mail delivered to you and having to get a PO Box on the other side of town and even preparing your own meals. You would pay your mortgage or rent on a monthly basis but now since you’re in a hotel you’re paying on a nightly or weekly basis. The cost of the room that you’re now living in takes up 80% of your monthly income and The room rate could change at a moments notice. Imagine having to go to the office located on the other side of the property in building one with you being in building six. every single day and every single week to pay your bill. Having to go to a laundry facility just to do your laundry instead of going into another room in your own house. having your own key to get into your door at your own house is a blessing, but now you’re left with a swipe card that may or may not work and can be deactivated at the push of a button. Resulting in yet another trip to the office that may or may not be open. What would you do? How would you survive? now let’s add a twist to this whole scenario that you already are cringing at just the thought of. You’re blind! You have no eyesight, now how do you deal with this? How do you manage to do things on a daily basis? Your routine has now been completely utterly disrupted! Now in your own personal room you place some thing and housekeeping comes in just to move it to the other side so they can clean. With no eyesight your left frantic possibly looking for much-needed medication‘s or something that is essential for your daily living. Getting over to the office to pay your bill let’s hope you have some help because most of you with eyesight would never figure out the way to get there and much let’s get back. And that swipe card suddenly deactivates and yet again another trip to find the office. Laundry, not having it in your own home you’re now left with being dependent on trying to figure out the laundry facility on your own. Much less, if you’re lucky you have some help but you’re dependent on their own timing when they can help you if not your on your own and still needing clothes for work and possibly having to where things with stains and smells because they were not able to assist you this week. As for meals, you have a mini fridge and a microwave. Storage is almost non-existent so majority of your meals have to be delivered to you through Uber eats which in itself you have to spend $15 or more just to get a hamburger delivered to you. Now thinking back to that hotel room that’s costing you 80% of your income while not on disability you’re now on disability you’re lucky if you’re even making $1000 a month. for you that hotel room is exceeding your income you’re buying meals out because you can’t store groceries, you’re paying unnecessary cost for transportation just so you can get your mail, you’re paying a friend to come help you just to go get your laundry done, and who knows whatever else might come up cost wise. now with this new scenario I hope that it puts a different perspective in your mind. Thank now of these questions, how do you survive? How do you make it? As for Josh, He asked himself that question every day for the past six months. The only answer he has is God has guided him this whole time. He would love nothing more than to have his own place again. unfortunately, the housing situation is in crisis mode in Orlando and across this entire country! People in his income bracket are just not able to find anything to rent, but not without a lack of trying. The only option left for someone in his circumstance is to purchase a home at extremely high interest rate. That is if you’re lucky to have good credit. but it would be a lot cheaper than even considering to rent in this demanding market. So, he is left with two options one, continue to walk by faith in the hotel and pray that he continues to get the help that he needs from some really good neighbors that care or two. Purchase a home with cash. That’s the reason for this post, below is a link to a go fund me that has been set up on his behalf to assist him in purchasing a home. If you were able to assist it would be appreciated. If you were able to share and help this campaign go viral not only would it help him but bring awareness to a cause that needs attention across the country. Because he is not the only one living like this and you could potentially help share someone else’s story similar to his.

God's people are vast and strong, now if we would just stop fearing the lies the enemy whispers, and the petty schemes of the lawless, and all stand together!
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

When you've failed God again & again, and you feel like He can't possibly love you or use you any more; just stop for a second, close your eyes, and recall Jesus' last words on the cross-
"Father forgive them!"
He was actually saying:
Father please forgive these people who yelled: "Crucify me! Crucify me!"
Forgive those men right there who unjustly tried me!
Forgive those standing at my feet that just beat me to this point of death!"
So now he says that same thing from the pages of the Scripture to you and I- Father forgive Brian for ______! And forgive you for _______!
Truth is, He cares about us and is NOT willing to write us off and just cast us away!
He said you you: "I will NEVER leave you, nor forsake you!"
And "I have come that they (you) may have life."
"For God did NOT send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to SAVE the world through him." Jn 3:17
So my friend, cry over your sin against God. Then turn away from pursuing it and turn toward pursuing God.
Get up.
Dust off.
And live for Him moment by moment by His strength!
And know this- You WILL fall again.
Do you know how I know this?
Because you and I are not perfect.
The truth is, everyone falls!
Whether they are humble enough to admit it to you or not.
From the holiest looking Christian leader with a $1000 suit falls often, down to the newest rough edged believer. "for there is NONE righteous, no not even one!"
But Jesus is righteous!
And Jesus is who God is looking at in you!
So chin up!
You are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ!
Now glory in that as your unmovable foundation you stand upon!
Finally, Paul says: "And I am convinced that NOTHING can ever separate us from God's love."
If He's willing to forgive those who crucified Him, He's willing to forgive and restore you. Because YOU are valuable in His sight, and family doesn't throw away family!

Are you letting someone or something get to you?

It's funny how trials and temptations are custom fit to attack us in the area that we are most likely hurt.
For some it is drugs, others loneliness, still some a continually hurtful family member never allowing you peace.
Many feel as though they will never fit in anywhere, doomed to remain unnoticed no matter how hard they work.
Some who are continually noticed are tried by vanity with sparkling trinkets and glamorous lights like a fish to a shiny lure with hooks, and so it is for some that everything they touch turns to gold; their trial is truly the hardest, for it is to trust in God and not in self.
All of us have many, many faults, and unbeknown to most of us we are the cause of other’s trials and temptations.
Jesus talked about seed sown on different soils; some eaten by birds, some springing up and scorched by the sun, some getting choked out by the cares of this world, but some actually bearing fruit.
The one thing all these trials and temptations have in common is this- That they ALL seek to make the Christian totally ineffective because he or she is totally engulfed in his soap opera life and therefore cannot break free from his pain long enough to do God's work and bear fruit, and trust me here, Satan wants to keep it that way!
This is why Jesus says we must die to self. This includes; Self-promotion, self-pity, self-rights, you get the idea.
To be effective we must die to the drama, die to the justification of being hurt... yes, die to being a victim too.
We must die to seeking peace, and seek the relationship that will bring total fulfillment along with peace.
We must die to being important and accept being unimportant by the world’s standards.

And now that all the luggage has fallen off... get busy doing HIS will! The works that were ordained for us to do since the beginning of time. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Eph 2:10
As a wise mother once told her child: It’s NOT all about you!”

It's all about Jesus Christ!

Forgive for the Right Reason

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)

“One of the greatest dangers to any marriage is unforgiveness. Without the commitment to forgive and wipe the slate clean on a daily basis, a person’s heart becomes hardened and cynical. Think about how a couple can go from being so in love, standing in front of a preacher getting married, to being so bitter, standing in front of a judge going through an angry divorce. How does it happen? One drop of unforgiveness at a time! ..
According to Ephesians 4, unforgiveness is an open door for the devil. He uses unresolved anger to accuse your spouse to you. Literally, the person you once were so tender and positive toward now becomes the person you are cynical and hardened toward. Unforgiveness destroys intimacy and passion in the relationship. You end up being withdrawn, sarcastic and negative. These are danger signs of a heart hardened by the accumulating effects of unresolved anger and bitterness.

Forgiving a person simply means that you release them from your judgment concerning a wrong they have done to you. It also means you will in no way punish them for wrongs done but will love them as though they had not done them. It doesn’t mean you should not lovingly confront your spouse and talk your problems out. It just means that regardless of your spouse’s response, you are going to make sure your heart remains pure.

The ultimate reason we forgive is that God has forgiven us. He forgave us when we didn’t deserve it and even died on the cross to make our relationship with Him right. Also, Jesus tells us clearly in the gospels that we cannot be forgiven by God if we will not forgive. Even if we think we are justified in our unforgiveness, He offers no exceptions. The penalties for unforgiveness are severe here on earth and in eternity.

Decide to forgive. Don’t let the devil use hurts and problems to infect your heart with his lies. Go before God and do some heart housecleaning if you realize unforgiveness affects you. He will be merciful and gracious to you and once you are finished you will be more like Him.

Talk It Out | Take a few minutes to talk about any issues of unforgiveness between you. It may be something as small as not picking up your dirty socks or forgetting to pay a bill, or it may be a more serious issue. Whatever the case, if one of you became angry with the other, it’s best to talk it out rather than let that anger build. Choose to forgive, and speak words of forgiveness and blessing to each other.

Walk It Out | Commit to praying together each night before you go to sleep. This is a foolproof way to keep unforgiveness and anger from building up between you." Stan Shelton

For Christians Only.
By Ray Comfort
“Never forget how you feared death before you became a Christian. The Bible says that until we come to Christ, we are "subject to the fear of death all of our lifetime." When we come to faith in Jesus Christ, God places a shield of faith in our hands so that we can combat the sharp and fiery arrows of fear. We can look death in the faith and say, "You no longer have any power over me!"

Think of two men in a plane. One has no faith in the pilot, and one does. The man without faith opens himself to fear. The less faith he has, the more susceptible he will be to fear if there is severe turbulence. However, the man with faith in the pilot will have no fear, as long as he keeps that faith.

He who lives without faith in God is open to fiery darts of terror that will pierce him to the core. I once saw a man like that as he lay on his deathbed. He was consumed with terror. It was a horrible thing to see, and my heart went out to him. He lived his life with his back turned to God, and consequently, when he needed faith most, he had none.

So when you are sharing your faith, don't hesitate to tap into a powerful evangelistic tool that is often neglected--the sinner’s will to live. He doesn’t want to die. Don't be afraid to ask him if he is afraid of dying. It can often be a relief to talk about it, because the world avoids the question.

The king of interviewers, Larry King, once said, "Death is the hardest thing to deal with, from an interviewer's standpoint because no one really knows what's going to happen, and I don’t care what anybody said, everybody’s frightened." He says that, from the perspective of a man who lives without faith in Jesus. He makes the massive assumption that "no one knows what's going to happen," when that's just not true. Christians know what happens at death. We no longer walk in darkness as do the ungodly. Our understanding is no longer darkened, because we are no longer alienated from the life of God. He is frightened, because he has no faith.

Let me ask you a thought-provoking question. What is the most important moment in the life of any human being? Is it the moment of birth? That certainly is an important moment. Is it the moment he or she is married, or the moment they arrived on a new job? Those are big moments, but the most important moment, without a doubt, is the moment you and I die. That's the moment for which we all wait with bated* and it draws closer and closer, like the ticking of an untimely clock, with every beat of our heart.

Such are fearful thoughts . . . if we have no faith. Never let that happen. Have faith in God. He is trustworthy. If you trust Him, He will be there for you at the moment you pass from this problem and pain-filled life into eternity. Until that happens, seek those who live without faith, and plead with them to get right with God. Let your heart go out to them, to a point where you go out to them, regularly.

Every now and then you and I see faith shine in this dark world. Just after the tragic shooting of 19 people in Tucson, Arizona, one elderly man died while using his body to shield his precious wife. At a news conference, his daughter had a shining faith in her eyes as she boldly proclaimed, "What a way to go home!" How true. How wonderfully true. Those who trust in Jesus don’t die. They go Home.”

"The best gauge of where your heart is before God is your tongue." Chip Ingram
"out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Matt 12:34
What is coming from your mouth is really where your heart is before God. Tithing, volunteering doing churchy things, Bible studies etc. is not. Why?
Because they can be done by anyone for any reason; but the true condition of our heart will flow from our tongue during times of severe trials.
I failed yesterday, because when things got tough I became distressed, and discouraging things flowed from my heart! What came out was really the opposite of truth (God being in control) and thus flowed as discouragement from my tongue (which is really only unbelief masked). Friends, gold and silver can never be purified unless they are placed into intense heat, and you and I we will never be given opportunity to see the true condition of our hearts unless we face intense trials and things are boiled to the surface of our lives to be skimmed off through humble repentance.
So next time you face extreme difficulty and feel like losing it like I did, look a little deeper and recognize what is really happening! These things that corrupt our hearts have finally come to the surface so we can clearly see them! And we have opportunity to either make excuse for them and it WILL grow stronger in your life, or you can recognize it, skim it off and cast it far from your life through repentance.
I am so weary of sin!
I choose to do the latter one!

So here is a lesson my Grandaddy taught me years ago on an Deer hunt. I tried to pass this along to those I take hunting.

The bloodtrail is awesome because at times it is the only thing that connect us to to the animal that gave his life for us. If we lose the bloodtrail, we can lose the animal. If you get off the bloodtrail, it can take you through briars and thickets that just waste time. At times it is hard to follow and requires work, other times it is easy to see. Sometimes the bloodtrail takes you right through the briars, but it still leads you to the prize.

In our faith, Jesus left a bloodtrail. When we lose sight of it, we can get lost. When we stay on the bloodtrail, even though the briars of life tear at us and tangle us up, we are making progress toward the prize. The bloodtrail leads to the lamb that gave his life for us. This bloodtrail leads right to the foot of the cross.

Stay on the bloodtrail....

Want kids that turn out normal?
It all starts in the home.
Don't be afraid to have them work to contribute to your family.
It won't hurt them, on the contrary children who are constantly catered to will develop a sense of entitlement rather than thankfulness and will continue to feel society owes them all the way up into adulthood.
Don't believe me? Although fictional, a great example of this is Cinderella and her two spoiled sisters.
Who turned out best?
This is why Jesus said-
"Let he who is greatest among you be the servant of all."
And the Son of man came not to be served but to serve."
It is only a heart that is willing to serve that can truly have empathy and love for others.
