"This was such a delightful read: wonderful episodes in Gene's life with Disney and beyond, beautifully organized, and full of warmth and caring. Gene is a remarkable talent, giving and expecting the best, wowing audiences, and encouraging others. I got so many laughs from Gene as he navigated the complex maze of transportation to deliver Disney road shows around the world, commandeering travel for the show company in countries moments away from political chaos and dealing all the logistics of those tours. In one case, walking out with the keys to a bus owned by a man who tried to cheat him. His joy and energy are an inspiration. This is really great reading for anyone in the business of entertainment. “Suits” would be advised to familiarize themselves with some of these stories to understand better what it takes to put on a show. What Gene has accomplished in his years is inspirational to read, great fun, with life and leadership lessons everywhere. And it’s a real “behind the scenes” look at Disney, from a guy who was there from the beginning and spent time with Walt Disney himself.”
