Another wonderful Family Studio day at Rollins College! Today our young artists and their families experienced the work of artist Sarah Anne Johnson as we considered her luminous altered print GGOST 2021. (We also had a try at guessing the mysterious acronyms by which Johnson names her pieces). Families experimented with filling in the architectural spaces created by nature with iridescent color which brought to mind stained glass, prayer flags, butterflies, spider webs and bubble wands. Inventing magical colorized spaces came naturally!
