✨SAVE FOR LATER✨The products you sell are one of, if not the most important aspect of your Etsy shop. If nobody wants what you offer, you can't run a successful business.

I know first hand - I started my Etsy shop 8 years ago struggling in the same way. I didn't know what my customers wanted at first. The more products I created, I started to learn what was selling well and I developed new products similar to my best sellers. Now my Etsy shop makes multiples six-figures per year and this strategy has helped me get here.

My Best Tips on Creating Products That Sell on Etsy:

1. Have at least 50 products in your shop. You'll want to have as many different listings as you can - I would work your way to 100 if possible. More products = more keywords = more ways to get seen = more sales $.

2. Make sure you have professional looking images. The competition on Etsy is fierce - but that doesn't mean you can't be successful. Schedule a photoshoot with a friend, make a trade with a local photographer, or work on your own photography skills by taking an online course. Once you do, you'll have these images forever and can use them on your website, social media and print materials. SO VALUABLE.

3. Make sure your products are on-trend and in-demand. How? Use Google Trends to find out what is trending in your market or applications like Erank.com to see how your keywords are ranking. All this research will help your Etsy SEO - which is basically how high you rank in the search.

Good thing I snapped out of it.✨When ONE person gives you a bad review - seriously don’t sweat it. If you KNOW you did your best and your products are 🔥, don’t let that one person ruin your day.

Here’s why:

1. Spending time worrying about things you can’t control is a WASTE OF TIME and energy.
2. Not everyone is going to like what you offer and that’s okay! It’s just simply statistics and facts.

What to do instead:

1. Reach out to the buyer if they left a bad review and try to make it right. If they aren’t receptive to your offer (which most are by the way) - then move on!
2. Read all your glowing reviews to cheer yourself up.
3. Take the review (or feedback) in and use it to make a positive change.
