From our experience, 30% of our submissions in the past three years have been from moms wanting to model — and that tells us there’s a growing population of moms finally deciding to fulfill their dreams.
Before signing with any Management, Representative, or Agency/Company… invest into education and development first.
Here are a few important steps:
• Build a strong portfolio first
Estimated investment: $1,200 – $2,100
This should include at least TWO professional photo shoots per month for 6–8 months to properly build confidence, range, and experience
• Take instructional posing classes & runway/walking classes
Fashion shows, catwalks, and runway opportunities require training. Learning how to pose, walk, and present properly matters.
• Learn fashion through a photographer’s eye
Practice shopping for both casual fashion and high-fashion looks. Styling becomes part of your presentation and confidence.
• Surround yourself with like-minded people
Share the experience with others who are serious about growth, confidence, creativity, and development.
• Don’t rush into contracts blindly
The cost of learning “on the fly” can become twice as expensive later. Proper development first can save time, money, and frustration.
Within 10–12 months of serious development, THEN begin submitting to Management and/or an Agency/Company.
A woman serious about modeling invests into education, confidence, presentation, and preparation first — not just listening to friends and jumping in blindly.
Real modeling is development, discipline, training, and consistency.
