This week feels especially heavy. And when that happens, I definitely feel the pull toward ragey, dopamine-spiking podcasts that don’t help.

So this week, I rounded up a few episodes that actually made me feel something good — sometimes thoughtful and deep, sometimes light and silly.

If you’re in the same boat, maybe something in here hits the right note for you too.
And if you’ve heard anything lately that stuck with you (or just made you laugh)?
Send it my way…always looking for things to bookmark for the next listen. 🎧✨

📉 Alert: Key performance mindsets are tanking!

2019-2023 trends from Better Up:

Focus: -13.5% (steepest drop)
Resilience: Sharp decline since 2022
Future-mindedness: Consistently low
Emotional regulation: Gradual fall
Cognitive agility: Stabilizing at -2%

These drive innovation, productivity, and adaptability. We can't ignore this!
🤔 Causes? Pandemic fallout? Work pressures? Remote shift?

From BetterUp: "Research shows that companies perform better when leaders empower, encourage, and coach employees instead of delivering orders and micromanaging. However, in the past few years, directive, top-down leadership approaches have remained popular in the push for profitability and efficiency. This management style certainly may have helped organizations get on steadier footing amid the tumult of the last couple of years, but will it prepare employees for the change that's still yet to come?"

💔 50% of new managers fail in their first year. This breaks my heart.

Let's be real: fewer people are eyeing the boss's chair these days. Why? Many haven't gotten the training they need to excel.

Leadership isn't innate – it's learned. Investing in long-term manager training isn't just important, it's critical.

Imagine if 90% of new managers felt confident and supported instead. That's the future I'm working towards.

What's your take? How can we better prepare our leaders? 🤔

Succinct strategy from leadership MIA? You're not powerless.

This breaks down how to take charge when the big-picture plan is missing. It's about turning frustration into action.

Key takeaway: Don't let the absence of a top-down strategy paralyze your team. Your initiative can spark positive change across the organization.
