🌟 ¡El Baile Sigue! What an incredible afternoon celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month Together! 🌟

We had such a wonderful time last week at the Latinos At Hyatt Orlando chapter's Hispanic Heritage Month event! 🎉

It was truly special to see so many of us come together to mingle, share stories, and celebrate the rich, diverse cultures that make up our heritage. From the amazing food and vibrant music to the wonderful conversations, the energy in the room was electric!

This event was a perfect reminder of the strength and warmth of our community. Thank you to everyone who came out to make it such a resounding success and who contributes every day to making our workplace a more inclusive and celebratory environment. It's so important that we take the time to acknowledge and uplift one another.

Here’s to many more events where we can connect, celebrate, and recognize the incredible contributions of the Hispanic community at Latinos at Hyatt and beyond!

Anabel brings joy to every shift—with a smile, a can-do attitude, and an unwavering commitment to her team. Earlier this year, Latinos at Hyatt partnered with United Against Poverty to support their community-focused initiatives. Most recently, we joined forces again to contribute to their Employment Program.

United Against Poverty is dedicated to empowering families and individuals in crisis to achieve sustainable economic self-sufficiency. They provide a wide range of services, including crisis care, case management, education, employment training and placement, food and household subsidies, and referrals to other social service providers.

We had the privilege of participating in a series of presentations focused on resume building and interview preparation—a powerful alignment with the purpose-driven and care-centered culture of the Latinos at Hyatt mission.

This past week, our Latinos at Hyatt Orlando team had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at United Against Poverty, an organization dedicated to empowering families and individuals in our community.

We spent time helping with their vital Grocery Program, where we cleaned, organized, and stocked shelves, ensuring access to nutritious food for those in need. We also lent a hand in their Member Marketplace, sorting donated clothing and household items. It was truly inspiring to contribute to United Against Poverty’s mission of providing crisis care, education, and pathways to sustainable economic self-sufficiency. We believe that by working together, we can create lasting change and foster a future filled with hope and possibilities for everyone.

A huge thank you to our amazing team for their dedication and to United Against Poverty for the impactful work they do!

We at Latinos at Hyatt Orlando were deeply honored to visit the Children’s Home Society (CHS) offices! 💙 It was a privilege to strengthen our partnership, which directly supports children's success.

We were warmly welcomed by Deonna Augustine, Development Manager, and Sherri Gonzales, Senior VP & Executive Director. We proudly presented our donation check and discussed exciting opportunities for future collaboration to further empower the children CHS serves.

Beyond financial contributions, we're passionate about providing career development opportunities. We explored ways to offer job shadowing, resume writing workshops, interview techniques training, and workforce readiness programs. We believe in investing in the future leaders of our community!

What a year 2024 was for Latinos at Hyatt - Orlando! We've celebrated our culture, connected with colleagues, and made a tangible impact on our community.

Let's take a moment to reflect on the incredible highlights of 2024:

Celebrating Our Stories & Culture:
* Virtual Cafecito Event: We held a heartwarming Virtual Cafecito, where we highlighted the diverse stories and experiences of our Hispanic colleagues. It was a beautiful opportunity to connect, share our journeys, and celebrate the richness of our heritage.

* Corporate Latinos Inclusion Summit: We were thrilled to have representatives from our Orlando team participate in the Corporate Latinos Inclusion Summit! This powerful gathering brought together Latinos from across Hyatt, fostering collaboration, learning, and growth. We gained valuable insights and strengthened our network, empowering us to drive positive change within our organization.

Giving Back to Our Community:
* Global Month of Service - Keep Orlando Beautiful Cleanup Event: Partnering with our Omaha division, we rolled up our sleeves and participated in the "Keep Orlando Beautiful" Cleanup Event. We were proud to contribute to a cleaner and more beautiful Orlando, demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship.

* Clean the World Volunteer Service Event: We joined forces to support Clean the World, a vital organization dedicated to providing hygiene supplies to those in need. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to their mission and make a difference in the lives of others.

* Making Strides Against Cancer 5K Event: Our team laced up their running shoes and participated in the Making Strides Against Cancer 5K event. We walked and ran with purpose, raising awareness and funds for cancer research and support.

Looking Forward to 2025:
2024 was a year of connection, celebration, and service. We've built strong bonds, amplified our voices, and made a positive impact on our community. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of Latinos at Hyatt - Orlando and are filled with excitement for what 2025 holds.

We are committed to building upon our successes and creating even more opportunities for our colleagues to connect, grow, and make a difference. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our culture, strengthen our community, and contribute to the success of Hyatt.
