After 21 years of business, Butler Consulting Group - BC Innovations is changing its name to Empowered Inclusion. Our new name reflects our unique combination of Diversity, Empowerment, and Work-Life Integration to provide a whole-person approach to personal and group outcomes.

I presented a keynote adaptation of Dr. Thomas' last article "The Shamming of Diversity" five years ago, in collaboration with April Thomas. This article is consistent with the message I continue to communicate: If your Chief Diversity Officer isn't serving as a Chief Disruption Officer, you're SHAMMING!

Chief Diversity Officers are often brought in to respond to an existing problem, clean up an organization’s image, or publicly signal a commitment to equity that does not exist.
