Club venues when working with your client in my opinion are the most dangerous venues, they have a lot of variables & vulnerables. Hereโs some tips to work through that & ensure the safety of your client and their team. Even if youโre unable to act out every step, keep a mental note of things to look for ๐บ
Venue Assessment:
1. Conduct a thorough site survey to identify entry and exit points, emergency exits, and potential security vulnerabilities.
2. Meet with the venue management to understand their security protocols and integrate them with your plan.
Risk Assessment:
1. Identify potential threats, including unruly fans, intoxicated individuals, and potential aggressors.
2. Evaluate historical data of incidents at similar events or venues.
Arrival and Entry:
Secure Arrival:
1. Plan a secure and discreet route for the artistโs arrival and departure.
2. Use decoy vehicles if necessary to mislead potential threats.
3. Ensure the arrival area is secure before the artist arrives.
Controlled Entry:
1. Es**rt the artist through a secure, controlled entry point, avoiding public areas.
2. Coordinate with venue security to manage crowd control at entry points.
During the Event
Perimeter Security:
1. Establish a secure perimeter around the artist at all times, especially when moving through crowds.
2. Use barriers or ropes to keep fans at a safe distance during interactions.
On-Stage Protection:
1. Position security personnel near the stage to monitor the crowd and intervene if necessary.
2. Ensure quick access routes for the artist to exit the stage in case of an emergency.
Crowd Management:
1. Monitor crowd behavior for signs of agitation or potential threats.
2. Work with venue staff to ensure intoxicated or disruptive individuals are dealt with promptly.
Post-Event Procedures
Secure Departure:
1. Es**rt the artist out of the venue using a secure and discreet route.
2. Monitor for any potential threats during departure.
Public Interaction:
1. Limit public interactions and ensure they are conducted in controlled environments.
2. Be prepared to manage autograph sessions or meet-and-greet events with enhanced security measures.
