There is training out there. Most of it assumes you already understand how managed care works. Ours does not. It starts at zero, with the terminology, and carries through to the advanced material.

Two programs, built for Florida primary care. Internal medicine, family medicine, and general practice.

English or Spanish. Launch price $299 per course, regular $350.

The physician is clinically strong. The credentials are there. Then the questions turn to HEDIS, and the answers stop.

For 22 years, PPS Consulting Group has recruited physicians across the nation, most of that work for hospitals. As the outpatient primary care side of the practice grew, and through years of work in the Florida market, that same moment repeated in interview after interview. HEDIS. RAF. Prior authorization. Capitation.

In outpatient primary care, managed care is not a side topic. It is the structure of the work. The physician operates inside it every day, and the plan measures the practice through it.

It happens to physicians who are new to the system. It also happens to physicians who have been in outpatient practice here for years, because this material was never taught in any organized way. It gets picked up in pieces, on the job, whenever there is time.

So PPS Consulting Group built the course.

Organized from the ground up. It starts with the terminology, because that is where the gap begins, and it carries through to the advanced material. Not a summary and not an overview. A complete program.

Now open for enrollment, built for the Florida market:

The Managed Care Fundamentals Program
The Advanced Managed Care Program

Available in English and in Spanish. The participant chooses the language.

Each program enrolls separately. Introductory launch price of $299 per program. Regular price $350.

Enrollment is open at www.ppsconsultinggroup.com, under Courses and Training.

Florida is where we are starting. A program for the Puerto Rico market will be announced shortly, and other states will follow.

In the interview, the clinical questions go well. Then they ask about HEDIS.

After 22 years recruiting and placing physicians across the nation, and especially in Florida, PPS Consulting Group kept seeing the same gap, in physicians new to the system and in physicians with years of experience here. Managed care was never taught in an organized way. It gets learned in pieces.

So we built the course that teaches it properly, from the terminology all the way to the advanced material.
Now open for the Florida market:

The Managed Care Fundamentals Program and The Advanced Managed Care Program

In English and in Spanish. You choose.
Each program enrolls separately.
Launch price $299 per program. Regular $350.

Puerto Rico and other states coming soon.

At PPS Consulting Group, we help physicians, hospitals, and healthcare organizations grow through strategic solutions designed to strengthen their operations and achieve their goals.

Important HRSA Update (July 1, 2026)

HRSA announced it will give State Primary Care Offices (PCOs) additional time to review and update certain Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations identified through its 2025 National Shortage Designation Update (NSDU).

Instead of withdrawing them on July 1, 2026, HRSA will keep those designations in Proposed for Withdrawal status. The affected communities remain recognized as HPSAs until a final decision is made through a future Federal Register Notice, expected on or before July 1, 2027.

Key point: this extension applies only to HPSAs identified through the NSDU process. Withdrawals requested directly by State PCOs will continue to move forward as planned.

Reminder for companies/clinics and ACN physicians: if an area lost its Primary Care designation but still holds its Mental Health designation, it is still considered an area of critical need, and companies/clinics may continue hiring ACN physicians. The Florida State Surgeon General established this in an August 2022 order (s. 458.315, Florida Statutes), which defines areas of critical need as primary care and mental health HPSAs.

BOLETIN INFORMATIVO

QUÉ SIGNIFICA EL ESTATUS PROPOSED FOR WITHDRAWAL
