We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help clinicians gain a deeper understanding of the ABA revenue cycle. Recently, Danielle and Sam had the pleasure of spending the day with the amazing team at Aspen Behavioral Consulting, diving into the complexities of the revenue cycle and sharing practical strategies for success.

The day was filled with thoughtful discussions, real-world insights, and great questions. We truly enjoyed sharing our experiences and collaborating with such an engaged and dedicated team. Thank you for welcoming us, we look forward to continuing to support the important work you do for the ABA community! 💙

Along with the fun at our Quarter 2 Base Camp All Staff In-Service, we also squeezed in some learning! We were fortunate to welcome the incredible team from Bloom ABA Provider Consulting to share their expertise on all things billing and the vital partnership between clinical, operations, and billing teams. While billing may happen behind the scenes, it plays a critical role in ensuring patients and families receive the services they need.

We’ve known these amazing women for years, trust them with our organization, and are proud to partner with them, not only as colleagues, but as friends.

BLOOMIE AWARDS 2026 🏆✨

Yesterday was such a fun and special day for the BLOOM team!

We spent the day coworking, brainstorming, laughing, and getting to spend intentional time together outside of our normal day to day chaos. To wrap up the event, Danielle hosted our very first (very chaotic) Bloomie Awards Ceremony 🤣 where each team member received an award based on the unique strengths and personality they bring to the team.

From spreadsheet sorcerer to bad and bougie biller, every award was personalized and perfectly fitting. It was such a good reminder that what makes BLOOM special is truly the people behind it all. This team works incredibly hard every single day, and it was nice to slow down for a moment, laugh til we cried, and celebrate each other.

Our sunshine, Jazcelyn Nunez, couldn’t make it yesterday, but she was absolutely there in spirit and very missed by the entire team. ☀️

So grateful for a day full of laughs, teamwork, and memories. Already looking forward to next year’s Bloomies. 🏆✨

The BLOOM team is thrilled to be surrounded by fellow billing and advocacy professionals including Ashley Adams, owner of Spectrum ABA Billing Inc. It’s inspiring to be among people who share our passion for fighting the good fight: challenging erroneous denials, tackling payer nonsense, and upholding mental health parity every step of the way.

This morning kicks off with legal updates from Dan Unumb, setting the tone for another day packed with insight and collaboration. Annie and Danielle are happily nerding out and ready to bring back a wealth of knowledge to better support BLOOM clients across the country. 🌸

What an amazing day with our BLOOM team! 🌺

Yesterday, for the first time ever, we were able to bring our remote team together in person and it was such a valuable experience. We shared ideas, presented to each other, and had great conversations about how we can continue to grow and support our clients and one another.

Our Account Analyst, Annie, gave updates on the auditing and reporting projects she’s been managing this year. Danielle, BLOOM’s Director of AR, led a great session on using AI to structure workflows (game-changer!). We also had the privilege of hearing from one of our incredible clients, Dr. Diana Davis Wilson, BCBA-D, and enjoyed lunch and conversation with Aspen Behavioral Consulting’s co-founder, Kristine Mooney.

We ended the day with an outing to top golf and lots of laughs. The guys look so good in our “bloom vibes only” hats, don’t they!?

A huge thank you to Sam, our original Bloomie, for making this day possible and for hosting BLOOM trivia (you go baybee)! Another shout out to hungry Derrek for making sure we were well fed throughout the day. 🍕

**Legislation Update!! - WE NEED YOUR HELP!!**

I am very excited to share that Bill Draft 34-53 has officially become Nevada Senate Bill 174!

SB174 would allow outside professionals to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children in schools across the state, but more specifically CCSD. Currently, Clark County School District has a policy that expressly denies these services by non-district employees. You can learn more about the issue and how the proposed legislation aims to address it in an opinion piece that Samantha Lemons and Rebeka Acosta wrote for The Nevada Independent in November 2024.(https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/opinion-clark-county-children-with-autism-forced-to-choose-between-therapy-and-school)

As a colleague, community partner, client, or supporter, I hope you will join us in supporting this issue. The more comments in support of this proposed bill, the better.

You can support SB174 in 5 easy steps:
1. Login or create an account at NELIS https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/Authenticate/Account/Signin
2. From the main menu, click Legislation > All Bills and Resolutions (make sure you are in the 83rd session)
3. Scroll down or use search field to select SB174
4. Once on the SB174 overview page, click Opinions in the top right corner (you can view my submission by clicking Public Opinions)
5. Complete the short form and click submit

You can also go to https://www.leg.state.nv.us/whosmylegislator/ and type in your address in the search bar. Once you find who your State Senator is, click their name. This will take you to their site. Click "Share Your Opinion On Bills" under their contact information. Search/select "SB174" and then click "Share Your Opinion".

If you would like to send an actual letter of support to your legislator instead, we have included a template below that you can use to draft your letter. (Their address/contact information can be found on the website mentioned above).
