What to do if i failed to appear on traffic summons?
First you should check the with the clerk of court in the county you were given the ticket to see what happened with your case. In most instances they will proceed without you and assign points, fines and traffic school. It is your responsibility to attend court and if not to find out the outcome on your own. Start with the clerk's website and if you do not agree with the results contact a local traffic attorney to see about getting the outcome set aside for a new hearing or to have the penalties lowered.

One of the most frequently asked questions:

I was arrested for driving with an "insert criminal driving offense". The police did not read me my rights. Is this legal? The Police stop me and check I had a balance on the court and arrested me. Did not read me my rights.

Answer: The only time a police officer is required to read you the Miranda rights is when you are under arrest AND they are going to interrogate/ask you questions. If they do not ask you any questions then they are under no obligation to read you your rights.

Even if they did ask you questions after the arrest without reading you your rights it would not invalidate the arrest but only make any statements you made inadmissible in a court of law.
