There’s a big difference between being **informed about the economy** and letting the economy run your emotions.

Michelle saw it firsthand with two clients who read the exact same scary headline.

One called asking, “Should I be doing something right now?”

The other called asking how the news affected one specific financial decision she was already considering.

Same headline. Completely different relationship with money.

And that’s what this week’s episode of Talk Wealthy To Me is really about.

Financially sophisticated women aren’t ignoring the news. They’re learning how to put a process between the headline and their reaction.

Trace it. Translate it. Time it.

What does this news actually affect?
Does that impact actually reach my financial life?
And is this something I need to act on today—or am I reacting to today’s weather instead of the long-term climate?

Because you can understand what’s happening in the economy without letting every headline send you into a spiral.

September issue energy. 💅📈

The September Wealthy Report is officially live, and we’re heading into the final stretch of the year with plenty to pay attention to.

This month, Michelle is breaking down what’s happening in the economy, what September could mean for your money, the tax conversations worth having before December, why business revenue doesn’t always translate into personal wealth, and a question we had to ask: has luxury gotten a little too luxury? 👀

Because building wealth isn’t just about earning more. It’s about making sure the money you’re creating is actually giving you more options, more ownership and more control over the life you’re building.

Income supports the life you have today. Wealth protects the choices you want tomorrow.

The September Wealthy Report is waiting for you on Talk Wealthy To Me on Substack. 🥂

Save this carousel for your September money check-in + send it to a woman who should be reading along with us.

Making more money is exciting. But the real question is: what is that money building for you?

More ownership? More flexibility? More time? More choices?

Because the goal isn’t to create a life that requires you to keep earning at the same pace forever. It’s to convert some of what you earn today into the assets, investments and financial security that give future-you options.

That’s the difference between a high income and lasting wealth.

Income supports the life you have today. Wealth protects the choices you want tomorrow. ✨

Making more money doesn’t automatically mean you’re building more wealth.

And THAT is where things can get sneaky.

Your income increases. Your lifestyle evolves with it. You upgrade the house, take better vacations, buy nicer things — all things you may very well be able to afford.

Meanwhile, the investment contribution you set up three promotions ago is still… exactly the same. 👀

The truth is, most of wealth-building isn’t particularly exciting. It’s increasing your contributions. Investing the windfalls. Staying diversified. Building ownership. Giving your money enough time to compound.

It’s quiet. It’s consistent. And most of it happens where nobody can see it.

So the next time your income increases, ask yourself:

How much of this raise belongs to Future Me?

Enjoy the money you’re making today AND make sure your wealth-building is growing alongside you.

Because the goal isn’t simply to earn more.

It’s to own more.

You’re allowed to want nice things. Full stop. 👏🏼

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that every big purchase needed a financially responsible explanation attached to it.

The bag is an “investment piece.”
The remodel is an “investment in the house.”
The vacation is an “investment in the relationship.”

But sometimes… you just want the bag. And if it fits within your financial plan, that can be reason enough.

Being good with money doesn’t mean turning every dollar you spend into a wealth-building decision. It means knowing the difference between spending, owning and investing — and making sure the money whose job is to build your wealth is actually doing it.

Buy beautiful things. Enjoy your money. Build the life you’re working so hard for.

Just call it what it is. 😉

🎧 Michelle breaks down “investment laundering” and what actually qualifies as an investment on this week’s episode of Talk Wealthy To Me.

5K!!! 🥹🎉🥂

We officially hit 5,000 subscribers on YouTube, and we’re taking a minute to celebrate this one.

Because yes, watching that number hit 5K feels pretty freaking exciting. But what makes us even prouder is knowing more than 73% of the audience we’ve built is women.

The women we created Women in Wealth for are finding us.

They’re watching. They’re subscribing. They’re sharing these conversations. They’re learning more about their money, asking bigger questions, and becoming more intentional about the wealth they’re building.

And THAT is the milestone. 💸

To every single person who has watched an episode of Talk Wealthy To Me, shared a clip, sent an episode to a friend, left us a comment, or hit that subscribe button — thank you for being part of this community.

We have so much more coming.

Cheers to 5K, and to getting more women talking wealthy. 🥂✨

Buy the bag. 👏🏼

Just stop calling it an investment.

Somewhere along the way, we started using the word “investment” to make spending money feel more responsible.

The handbag is an investment piece.
The remodel is an investment in the house.
The vacation is an investment in the relationship.

And listen… you are ALLOWED to want beautiful things. You are allowed to spend money simply because something brings you joy.

But we need to stop confusing spending, owning and investing because they are three very different jobs for your money.

In this week’s episode of Talk Wealthy To Me, Michelle is breaking down what she calls “investment laundering” and sharing the 3-question test that will tell you whether something is actually an investment:

What’s the expected return?
What’s the timeframe?
How will you measure whether it worked?

If you can’t answer all three, you may still have a GREAT reason to buy it.

It just might not be an investment. 😉

We talk about communication as the foundation of a healthy relationship, but somehow, money still becomes the conversation couples avoid until there’s a problem.

Knowing what’s coming in. Understanding what’s going out. Being honest about debt, spending, goals, fears, and expectations. Making decisions together about the life you’re building.

Those conversations might not feel romantic, but they’re some of the most important ones you’ll have.

Because building wealth together starts with being able to talk about wealth together.

I’m diving deeper into money, marriage, and financial partnership in this week’s Substack. 💌 Check out the Talk Wealthy Report to read the full Note.

A wealthy lifestyle and actual wealth can look identical from the outside.

The house is beautiful. The trips are booked. The kids are taken care of. There’s money available when you need it.

But here’s the question we don’t ask often enough:

What do you actually own?

Because having access to money and having financial security are two very different things.

This matters whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, you’ve paused your career, your partner is the primary earner, you work in the family business, or you simply have no idea how the financial structure of your household is set up.

You don’t need to reject the soft life to protect your financial future. You don’t need to distrust your partner to understand the balance sheet. And you certainly don’t need to choose between being supported and being financially informed.

You just need to know what you’re building together — and what happens to that wealth when life changes.

Count it. Claim it. Cover it.

Because the soft life still needs hard documents. 🤍

This week, Michelle is taking this conversation even deeper on Substack — including the financial reality behind the “marry rich” conversation and what true financial security inside a partnership actually looks like.

This isn’t a post about preparing for your marriage to fail.

It’s about making sure you don’t disappear financially inside a marriage that succeeds.

You can love your spouse.
You can trust them completely.
You can choose to stay home and raise your children.
You can build a beautiful life together.

And you can still know what you own, understand your finances, have assets in your name, and participate in building your family’s wealth.

Because there’s a difference between having access to wealth and actually owning wealth.

In this week’s episode of Talk Wealthy to Me, we’re having the conversation more women need to hear about marriage, money, financial independence, and what it actually means to build wealth as a couple without losing your own financial footing along the way.

And if this carousel made you wonder, “Okay… but what should I actually have in place?” we created the Financial Blueprint to help you start answering that question.
