Motion is not Progress.
It’s Monday. We wear "busy" like a badge of honor. We think if we check off 20 boxes, we had a good day.
But in operations, we know that volume does not equal value. You can answer 50 emails, attend 4 meetings, and organize your desktop - and still be in the exact same position on Friday as you were on Monday.
That isn’t strategy. That’s just treading water.
To scale a business without burning out, you have to be ruthless about the difference between "maintenance" (keeping the lights on) and "growth" (moving the needle).
The Rule of 3: Before you open your email today, write down the 3 things that actually move your business forward.
Not "answer Steve." But "Finalize the Q2 proposal." "Map out the new onboarding SOP." "Call the lead who went cold."
Do those three things first. Let the rest wait.
If you get nothing else done, you still won. If you do everything else but miss these three, you lost.
Question: Look at your list. Which 3 items actually matter? Cross out the rest for now.
