During today’s FAPSC Hall of Fame induction, Kathy Mizereck was inducted into the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) Hall of Fame for 2026, receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The greatest part for those of us at FS&G was the fact that the award was renamed the Samuel Ferguson Lifetime Achievement Award and Sam was present today to watch Kathy receive it.

The FAPSC board members made a great decision in renaming the award because Sam’s history and dedication to the sector is no secret and he dedicated his professional life to education.

During the FAPSC conference, our COO, Mr. Ferguson spent time with the U.S. Congresswoman, Virginia Foxx and reminiscing about our sector.

We always say there are not many people that Sam Ferguson doesn’t know and he is always making memories!

The past week here in the Dominican Republic has been humbling for Sam and G.

In working with the government of this beautiful country, the FSG team felt the love and admiration for our COO, Sam Ferguson.

Sam has been on full display from the government officials to the university personnel we have been blessed to meet with.

In fact, one University, Unicaribe in Santo Domingo took their admiration to an entirely different level.

The relationship our firm has built with Dr. Jose Aybar is one of mutual respect as Sam and G were fortunate enough to tour and spend time learning more about the university’s upcoming endeavors.

Dr. Aybar and Unicaribe took things to a whole new level in dedicating a classroom in Sam’s name and having a ceremony to honor him.

The entire FSG family thank Dr. Aybar and the Unicaribe family for the recognition of Sam’s legacy and contributions to the education sector over the past 46 years and the military service he gave to protect the United States.

There are so many wonderful people in the DR and more U.S. colleges should try and work to establish partnerships to benefit students.

Day two of the Florida CIE meetings were eventful and provided the audience with many schools who faced serious challenges.

Thankfully, none of those institutions were FS&G supported clients and the continued success of each requires congratulations for the following institutions:

1. Coastal Technical Institute
2. Finlay Institute of Nursing
3. Florida Healthcare Academy

Each institution provided the CIE with all information necessary to give the Commisioners reason to approve each application.

We are happy to continue moving institutions forward and look forward to the July meetings.

The FS&G team is pleased to announce that our clients achieved a 100% success rate at today's CIE meeting, extending our flawless and perfect record in supporting all FS&G client institutions gain application approvals.

Congratulations are in order for:
1. Lincoln Memorial University Orange Park,
2. Lincoln Memorial University Tampa,
3. Moore Marine College,
4. Naples Comprehensive Health College of Osteopathic Medicine, and
5. Westcliff University Miami.

Each of these clients had unique objectives, but all shared a common goal of securing CIE approvals, which they achieved successfully.

We commend the staff and faculty of every FS&G client for their dedication and hard work.

During the recent CIE meetings last week, FS&G client institutions continued their success with 5 more positive outcomes.

American Imperial University was granted their new Annual License approval.

American University of Creativity and Innovation (AUCI) were granted Provisional License approval.

Florida Barber and Beauty Academy had their new program approved.

Lincoln Memorial University was granted their substantive change approval for a location change.

Los Angeles Film School was granted their new Annual License approval.

While FS&G had fewer clients on the meeting agenda based on application submission dates, the hard work paid off in keeping the 100% perfect record in tact.

We look forward to the May meetings and our continued client successes.

Fact # 1

The FS&G team prepare client institutional applications that have resulted in 12 years of state regulatory approvals equaling a success rate of 100%.

Additional Fact:

Not only has FS&G achieved the perfect record in application approvals but our firm also has a 100% success rate with On Site Visits (OSV’s) from the Commission for Independent Education in Florida.

Our congratulations to today’s OSV client, the University of Technology and Education in Pembroke Pines.

The visit resulted in no findings (as every OSV client visit has in the past) and was executed flawlessly by providing FS&G prepared information that permitted the OSV inspector to review all of the information in a concise, organized and efficient manner as only FS&G does.
