🚨 BOULDER ATTACK: WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY IT MATTERS
On May 31, 2025, during a peaceful event in Boulder, Colorado calling for the return of Israeli hostages, a male suspect launched a premeditated attack using a homemade flamethrower and Molotov cocktails.
* 15 people were injured, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor and a family dog.
* The attacker disguised himself as a landscaper to approach the crowd undetected.
* Eyewitnesses reported that he shouted “Free Palestine” while igniting the assault.
* He is now facing 16 counts of attempted murder and federal hate crime charges.
⸻
WHO IS THE SUSPECT?
The suspect has been identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, originally from Egypt and residing in Colorado Springs.
* He entered the U.S. on a tourist visa and overstayed illegally.
* He stated to FBI that he had been planning this attack for over a year, deliberately targeting who he referred to as “Zionist people.”

FBI RESPONSE
This was not random. The FBI has officially called this a targeted terrorist attack. The suspect cited having initially planned a mass shooting but was unable to secure a firearm due to the fact that his visa had expired.
In custody the suspect admitted to having planned, disguised himself, and executed the attack with lethal intent specifically to take place after his daughter’s graduation date.
“It is clear this is a targeted act of violence,” – FBI Denver Special Agent in Charge Mike Michalek (CBS News)
FBI Director Kash Patel added that this was a:
“Targeted terror attack against the Jewish community,”
and warned that downplaying what happened is dangerous:
“We are not the Federal Bureau of Word Games.” (Times of India)
WHY THIS MATTERS
This was an act of domestic terrorism in broad daylight.
Recent events point to just how quickly peaceful gatherings can turn deadly, making it crucial to have highly trained, reliable security in place.
A visible deterrent can mean the difference between chaos and containment.
