What is a Pre-Purchase Exam? 🐍 Testing for disease in an animal prior to purchasing to reduce the buyer’s risk. The last thing you want is to introduce a potentially fatal disease to your collection of snakes or other reptiles.

This is common in the horse community, where a buyer of a new horse will have a veterinary exam and disease testing done prior to purchasing the new horse. Pre-purchasing examinations are often requested by a potential buyer of a horse. The objective is to reduce the buyer’s risks in relationship to the general health and soundness of the horse for sale.

Since we have had such a great response with the reptile community requesting testing prior to purchasing, we have added this clarification that the buyer of the test receives the results, and we have added this to our submission forms. As always, we are here to answer any of your questions!🐴🐍🔬🦠
