Do you remember the poncho, the shawl, the dropped-waist dress, the dress with the fringes, the dress with the sequins, the black boots, the brown boots, the red boots, the Bean boots, the Wellies, the concert t-shirts, the t-shirts from your kids' highschools and colleges, the suit with the knee-length shorts? But some are just dead weight. But where to being? Here's the deal. It takes time to be
classy, creativity to be spicy, and effort to be totally effortless. It takes ten best friends, twenty overly-committed mother-in-laws, a gas-powered leaf blower, OR one quick text message to me! I believe that there are two sides to this whole dressing thing. One is the aesthetic side and the other is the emotional side. My love/passion for art, design, and color comes into play when considering the aesthetics of dressing. What color, combination of colors or prints, and what fabrics work together to make the exact statement the client is looking to make? How can I teach someone the importance of buying high quality and not quantity, about the importance of fit, or the importance of buying key pieces that are timeless? Here is the emotional side: women are givers. They give to their children, husbands, families, jobs, community... but so rarely do they take time for themselves. It is my hope that by taking the time to refocus on themselves, I can help women regain a sense of self. Having women tell me how wonderful they feel after I have worked with them has been by far the most surprising and ultimately rewarding part of my business.
