Here's a fun throwback to last month where Probationary Firefighters Yahres and Gonzalez had some double-dutch fun on the playground at the Legacy Traditional School’s 9/11 event. We’re always grateful for opportunities to spend time with the students in our community. 🚒

Shortly after noon today, Golder Ranch Fire District crews responded to Romero Canyon Trail at Catalina State Park for a hiker experiencing symptoms of dehydration. The hiker was evaluated by GRFD crews at the scene. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Air Rescue unit and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department also responded.

Even on cooler days, hiking can take a toll on your body. Stay hydrated, bring more water than you think you’ll need, know your limits and plan ahead before hitting the trail.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on domestic violence and remind those affected that they are not alone.

At Golder Ranch Fire District, we stand with survivors and encourage our community to recognize the signs, break the silence, and be a source of support. Together, we can help build a safer, stronger community for all. 💜
