🚨 TRAINING ALERT! 🚨
Over the past couple of days, every shift had the opportunity to refresh their knowledge and skills on confined space operations.
While confined space emergencies may be rare, they are typically high-acuity incidents that require a different approach to size-up, access, rescue, and patient care.
Here in the Town of Orono, we have a wide variety of confined spaces, each presenting its own unique hazards and challenges.
The crews had a great time getting hands-on, working together, and putting their skills to the test.
There’s an old saying in the fire service: “You don’t rise to the occasion; you fall to your level of training.”
That’s why we train.
Train hard. Train together. Train to be better.
Stay safe out there!
