Good Day Neighbor!
On behalf of the North East Chapter Washington Farm Forestry Association, I would like to invite you to the NE WFFA Annual Winter Meeting in Colville at the Fort Colville Grange Hall (157 Hwy 20) in Colville) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Washington Farm Forestry Association (WFFA) is an organization of small forest landowners with sixteen chapters throughout the state. WFFA offers to its members:
Education programs
Representative voice in Olympia
Promote fair taxation on regulation on the federal, state and local government levels so that forest management can continue for generations to come
Increase public awareness of family-owned forests
The chapter focus this year is “ The Value of Working with Contractors”. Creating a partnership with a professional forestry contractor brings value and peace of mind in managing your land. You will be adding their skills, their resources and their relationships to your tool box in achieving your goals for your property.
Come learn the who, what, why, where and when of working with contractors.
Also available will be local DNR and NRCS landowner assistance professionals who will be providing updates on cost share programs that are available to help landowners accomplish their goals with their land.
Not only will you have the occasion to listen to our fine speakers and enjoy the company of your neighbors, you will be served wonderful lunch provided by Lori Roberts . Doors open at 8:00 a.m. to begin the day for a meet and greet hour with your fellow landowners.
The winter meeting includes the election of our officers for the current year, opportunities of being involved with the local chapter and support of our two scholarship programs.
The NE Chapter is extending an invitation to our neighboring chapters to come and make the drive to Colville to join us for a day of fellowship.
The cost will be $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child under the age of 18. If you register before March 04, 2017 the price will be adults $16.00 and child $8.00. Please complete the attached form and mail a check or Money Order (no cash) to the address listed on the form.
If you have any questions, please contact Ann Van Dielen by phone or text at 509-596-0931 or email at [email protected]. There are full details on the WFFA website at http://www.wafarmforestry.com/NorthEast.
