First off, I want to say thank you for doing these posts. I absolutely love them and share them every time I see one.

This right here is why I prefer bladder shocks. There is no real accurate way to measure rebound. I would much rather have a dead shock with no rebound then one with rebound.

At that point I know that two shocks are going to be closer together than one that might have just a little more that an other with bleeder shocks.

🚗🎉 Tomorrow’s the BIG day! 🎉🚗

The day we’ve spent months planning is finally here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Horsepower on the Bricks!

🚘 The first 50 registered vehicles will receive a swag bag packed with goodies from some amazing local businesses. There are some really great items inside, so you’ll definitely want to be one of the first to arrive!

While you’re in town, be sure to support our local businesses:

🥣 PK Country Designs will be serving biscuits & gravy from 8–10 AM (or until sold out), plus fresh cinnamon rolls and homemade kolaches.

🍦 Sweet Savings Bank Ice Cream Parlor has delicious ice cream and sweet treats to cool you off.

☕ Council City Coffee Co. has all the go-go juice you’ll need to get your day started.

🛍️ Stop by The Junkers Boutique, one of our newest businesses, for antiques and unique treasures.

🔥 Be sure to give a warm Burlingame welcome to Schrockbier old smokehouse, opening for the very first time!

🍤 Hook & Que will be serving up incredible fish, shrimp, and chicken. Seriously… the fish and shrimp are some of the best around!

🍧 And don’t miss Froggy & the Whale Shaved Ice for melt-in-your-mouth shaved ice.

We’ll also have vendors to browse, an awesome raffle with fantastic prizes (tickets available at the Chamber booth in front of PK), and EM’s Bar-2-You will be serving cold drinks in the beer garden. 🍻

📸 Don’t forget! If the wind cooperates, we’ll be taking our U.S. 250th Anniversary group photo at 1:30 PM, and we’d love for everyone to be part of it!

🌞🚗 ONE WEEK TO GO! 🚗🌞

Alright everyone, it’s time to start saying your prayers, crossing your fingers, crossing your toes, carrying your lucky rabbit’s foot, and maybe even doing a little anti-rain dance! 🤣

After all the weather drama, Horsepower on the Bricks and the RC Car Show will happening Saturday, June 27 — rain or shine! We’ve worked too hard, our volunteers have worked too hard, and our car owners have waited too long for us to let Mother Nature win twice.

So shine up those rides, grab your lawn chairs, and make plans to spend the day in downtown Burlingame with us!
