We'd like to thank Fire Chief John Litchford and Battalion Chief Nathan Fager of South Milwaukee Fire Department for their trust, collaboration, and valuable input throughout the design of their new custom Rescue Pumper.

This apparatus will feature a Sutphen Monarch chassis, Cummins X15 605hp engine, Waterous CS1250 GPM fire pump, and a Custom Fire stainless steel rescue pumper body.

From compartment layouts and equipment storage to pump operations and firefighter functionality, every detail was carefully planned with the department's needs in mind.

It’s the moment so many of you have been following along for…
The first re-chassis project for Duluth Minnesota Fire Department is officially complete!

After 120,000 miles and nearly 20 years of service, their 2007 Custom Fire pumper was ready for new life. Thanks to the rust-free condition and incredible durability of its original bolted stainless-steel body, Duluth Fire Department saw an opportunity to retain the bulk of their investment for another 20 years by replacing the chassis rather than the entire apparatus.

By keeping the original pump, plumbing, tank, and body, this pumper was brought back to life on a Freightliner M2 112 Plus chassis - complete with new cab steps, doors, tailboard, lighting, and more.

A true second life for a truck built to last.

From all of us at Custom Fire, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

CustomFIRE was elated to host Shakopee Fire Department for their training and acceptance of TWO brand new 2026 Custom Side Mount Pumpers today!

These two identical trucks both sit on a Sutphen Monarch chassis and feature a 47,000lbs GVWR, a Waterous 1500gpm fire pump, and a 750 gallon UPF water tank.

With a relationship dating all the way back to 1985, we cannot thank the Shakopee Fire Department enough for the trust they have placed in us throughout the years. We hope that these beautiful new rigs will be an amazing addition for their team, and we can't wait to follow along and see all of the wonderful things the men and women of their department do with them.
