Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad has a new Light Rescue! 🔥

Purchased through Sourcewell, this rig is built on a Ford F-550 4x4 chassis, powered by the 7.3L V8, and packs a lot of rescue capability and equipment storage into a compact package.

Eight trucks. One relationship that goes all the way back to the beginning. 🔥

Iron River Fire Department is officially taking home their newest Custom Fire apparatus, and this delivery is an especially meaningful one for us.

Iron River was one of Custom Fire’s very first customers, and decades later, they have continued to put their trust exclusively in our team. This new Commercial Pumper Tender marks their 8th Custom Fire apparatus!

Built on a Kenworth T480 chassis, Tender 1 is powered by a 450 HP PACCAR PX-9 and features a 1,250 GPM Waterous pump, 2,100 gallon UPF water tank, and plenty of compartment space built around the department’s needs.

While they were here, we even had the chance to pull out some old photos and look back at a few of the Custom Fire trucks that came before this one. Seeing that history alongside their newest apparatus was a pretty special reminder of just how long this partnership has lasted.

To everyone at the Iron River Fire Department, thank you for trusting Custom Fire not just once, but eight times. Relationships like this mean a lot to us, and we’re proud to see Tender 1 become the newest chapter in a story that started with us all those years ago.

New Glarus Fire Department has a new Engine 3! 🔥

This new Custom Fire Tandem Axle Pumper/Tender is officially headed home to New Glarus, Wisconsin!

Built on a Spartan Gladiator chassis and powered by a 605 HP Cummins X15, Engine 3 pairs a 1,500 GPM Waterous fire pump with 2,350 gallons of water - along with plenty of compartment space and smart storage built around the department’s equipment and needs.

From the drop-down ladder and portable tank storage, to the adjustable shelving and pull-out trays, there’s a lot packed into this rig.

Meet Steve, everyone! 👋

We're excited to introduce you to another member of the team behind your fire truck!

Steve has been part of the Custom Fire team for the past year and a half, working as our laser operator in the fabrication department. In that time, he's quickly become someone we know we can count on. Whether something extra needs to be cut, plans change, or there's simply something that needs to get done, chances are Steve is already on top of it.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his four cats and one dog. He's also hoping to check a trip to Alaska off his bucket list someday!

Thank you, Steve, for everything you bring to our team. We appreciate having someone as steady and reliable as you at Custom Fire! 🔥

It was great having the Fayal Fire Department back at Custom Fire today!

Their crew stopped in to walk through the final details of their upcoming re-chassis project before work officially gets underway.

Alright, Freightliner fans... we’ve got another commercial chassis arrival for you! 🔥

This Freightliner M2 106 Plus is set to become a brand-new Dry Side Tender for our friends at Crosslake Fire Department, with delivery scheduled for early next year!

There’s a whole lot of truck still to come from this bare chassis. Stay tuned as our team brings this one to life!

Who's ready for another rechassis project?! 🔥

After 20 years of dedicated service, the Fayal Township Fire Department decided it was time for their 2006 Custom Fire Pumper/Tender to receive a few upgrades. With the excellent condition of their pump and body, the department opted to retain the bulk of their investment by breathing new life into it using our factory rechassis program.

Our team will soon start disassembling this rig and will begin the process of replacing the worn chassis underneath. Stay tuned as we continue to document this transformation for you all to see!
