Fox Valley Metrology is officially in the Guinness Book of World Records!

🍟 Fox Valley Metrology was recently selected to be the independent measurement verification for the Guinness World Record attempt of the world's largest serving of french fries.

Our Idaho team was on-site throughout the entire cooking and weighing process, ensuring the measurements were accurate and validated the final weight of 1,474 pounds, officially surpassing the previous record of approximately 1,450 pounds!

🙌 We're proud to have played a role in this record-breaking achievement and providing accurate measurements, even when it comes to french fries!

📢 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: ASHLEY NELSON 👏

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Ashley Nelson, who is celebrating an incredible 12 years with Fox Valley Metrology!

Ashley graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 2008 and later earned her Medical Assisting degree from Minnesota School of Business. Her journey at FVM began in our shipping department at the old St. Croix Falls location. When FVM moved to Stacy, Minnesota, Ashley transitioned into Outsourcing, where she continues to be an important part of the team today.

Outside of work, Ashley stays busy with her two young children, Andrew Jr., who is 3, and Abigail, who recently turned 1, along with her fiancé, Andy, of nearly eight years. When she gets some well-deserved adult time, Ashley enjoys working with adults at MWC. And when there’s a spare morning or afternoon, you’ll likely find Ashley and Andy out on the lake fishing. They love bringing their kids along and getting them interested in fishing, too!

The family also has a 9-year-old Basset Hound who keeps things interesting at home!

Thank you, Ashley, for 12 years of hard work, dedication, and being part of the FVM family. We’re glad you’re here!

🛠️Employee Spotlight - Bob Mooney👏

Bob's career path to Fox Valley Metrology began in the machining industry, where he built a strong foundation through years of hands-on experience. After completing a machining apprenticeship, he spent 13 years working as a journeyman machinist before advancing into a supervisory role for an additional three years.

His interest in calibration began after a conversation with a friend who was already working at Fox Valley Metrology. The opportunity immediately caught his attention, especially because many of the skills he developed in machining translated well into the calibration field.

Today, Bob serves as our Onsite Scheduling Coordinator, where he puts his experience and problem-solving skills to work every day. He enjoys the challenge of coordinating schedules, managing moving pieces, and finding solutions that keep projects on track and ensure jobs are completed successfully.

When he's away from work, Bob enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, competing in fishing tournaments, hunting, and making memories with his family while on vacation.

Thank you, Bob, for your dedication and for all you do to help keep our onsite operations running smoothly!

Last week, Fox Valley Metrology hosted our annual Open House and it was once again a successful day! 🙌

It was great day welcoming customers, partners, and vendors from across the region for a day filled with networking, discovering the latest in precision, prizes, and of course a little bit of fun!
