Please park at the municipal parking lot behind the train station restaurant. Sap House Meadery is a small producer of premium, hand-crafted meads (honey wines). The Meadery was founded in 2010 by two young entrepreneurs, Ash Fischbein and Matt Trahan. Together they rejuvenated an old store front in downtown Center Ossipee, New Hampshire using many recycled materials and sustainable methods. Sap H

ouse Meads use only time-tested traditional methods and procure ingredients from local farms and markets. At Sap House Meadery we value community building and strive to source our ingredients locally. We are committed to creating a product that is steeped in history, produced naturally, and enjoyed universally. Our meads are created with a passion for the land and in homage to the bees that keep the land going. Ask for our meads at your local wine shop or grocer, and stop by the Meadery to enjoy our process, have a tasting, and experience our passion. Cheers!

Dry January means different things to different people. If you're looking to be a little more intentional with your alcohol consumption in 2026, exploring a category that's a little more intentional might be your next move.

Making mead is about as far from mass produced as it gets. The process is slow, honey is the most expensive fermentable sugar on the market and the style lends itself to a slower-paced, deliberate enjoyment and exploration.

If you've never tried it before, now's the time to stop into your local Meadery. If you're somewhat experienced, maybe give a new style or brand a look. We currently have a great slate of one-off barrel-aged batches that are truly unique in the beverage world. "Moon Stood Still" is a deep, rich blueberry mead aged on amburana wood. "Tin Man" is a collaboration with Hobbs Brewing featuring a vanilla, cacao and coffee mead aged in a Wizard of Hobbs Barley Wine barrel.

Stop by one of our locations in Ossipee or North Conway today and see if you can't rediscover a spark for the craft alcohol world and make 2026 a little more thoughtful.

On Thursday, January 15th, we are proud to host for our first Dinner & Concert show of the year. Ben last played at Sap House nearly TEN years ago! For those that know his work, you know this is not a show to miss.

Tickets available on our website or the link in our bio.

Ben Cosgrove is a traveling composer-performer whose music explores themes of landscape, place, and environment. Described by the Boston Globe as “a sonic plein-air painter… [using] his piano as a paintbrush,” Ben has performed in every U.S. state except for Delaware, collaborated with groups ranging from rock bands to research scientists, contributed music to several radio and film projects (including the recent Ken Burns documentary The American Buffalo), and held residencies and fellowships with institutions including NASA, the National Park Service, the National Forest Service, Harvard University, Middlebury College, the New England National Scenic Trail, the Schmidt Ocean Institute, the US Fish & Wildlife Service, and the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology.

Ben's music has been called "beautiful and fascinating" (The Maine Edge), "deeply impressive" (Independent Clauses), and "immediately evocative and fully arresting... brim[ming] with technical mastery and emotional capital" (Seven Days). Sound of Boston has described him as "an expert at painting sonic portraits of curious, unexpected places." His new album Topograph, a collection of sixteen new pieces inspired by land-shaping processes around the country, will be released on January 30th, 2026.
