OFD had a visit from the Yeti yesterday!

I have talked to business and community members and they want to continue on with the Steal the Storm Campaign which is absolutely amazing!!!

So the yeti has a big job and heโ€™s going to continue to help others with their fight because we are One Team one Fight.

His job is to now help Pulaski Youth Softball!!

Hereโ€™s your assignment if you choose to "Steal The Storm'

Step 1)
You MUST tag us Hunter Strong One Team One Fight
in your post so we know where he is.

Step 2) share the fundraisers for Ashton. We have the golf tournament on July 12. Please share the flyer for it. We also have the 2026 Bartender Challenge for Ashton and Hunter and Brew York Festival is in honor of Hunter this year also.
Please share those flyers.

Step 3) SHARE THE SIGNS OF PEDIATRIC CANCER. Even if you forget the other stuff, please share this education. Itโ€™s so important. We need to be hyper vigilant. There are too many kids with this.

So, Steal the Storm Yeti, take a photo of him at your business helping out, copy ad paste these instructions, tag us, share the fund raisers and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Iโ€™m begging you, share the signs of pediatric cancer.

Thank you sincerely for all the love ad support!

Protect What Matters Most with the Safe Oswego Initiative!

Did you know that working smoke alarms can cut the risk of dying in a home fire by more than half?

As part of the Safe Oswego Community Risk Reduction Initiative, the Oswego Fire Department is committed to helping keep our community safe by providing free smoke alarm installations for residents in need.

Smoke alarms provide critical early warning during a fire, giving you and your loved ones valuable time to escape safely. If your home doesn't have working smoke alarms installed inside every bedroom, outside sleeping areas, and on every level of the home - including the basement, now is the time to take action!

โœ… Free smoke alarm installations
โœ… Fire safety education for residents
โœ… Helping make Oswego homes safer, one family at a time

To learn more or schedule a smoke alarm installation, contact the Oswego Fire Department at (315) 343-2161 or email [email protected].

Together, we're building a Safer Oswego.๐Ÿš’

Safe Oswego - Community Risk Reduction!

The Oswego Fire Department is proud to announce the launch of Safe Oswego - a new Community Risk Reduction (CRR) initiative designed to improve safety, preparedness, and quality of life throughout the Oswego community. Safe Oswego will focus on five major pillars - Education, Prevention, Outreach, Preparedness, and Partnership.
Safe Oswego will serve as the departmentโ€™s umbrella program for public education, prevention, and community outreach efforts. The initiative will include smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector installations, fire safety education, senior safety programs, emergency preparedness outreach, lithium-ion battery safety education, and additional community-based risk reduction efforts.
โ€œSafe Oswego represents our commitment to protecting residents beyond emergency response,โ€ said Oswego Fire Chief Paul Conzone. โ€œBy working proactively with our community, we can help prevent emergencies, reduce injuries, and make Oswego a safer place for everyone.โ€
One of the first major components of the program will be the departmentโ€™s free smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector installation initiative for eligible residents. Oswego Firefighters will work directly with community members to ensure their homes are equipped with working alarms and that families understand the importance of home fire safety and escape planning.
The Safe Oswego initiative reflects the national fire service model of Community Risk Reduction, which focuses on identifying local risks and implementing programs that reduce preventable emergencies through education, prevention, and partnerships.
Residents will see Safe Oswego represented through community events, public safety campaigns, school outreach, safety checks, and collaborative efforts with local organizations and agencies. The Oswego Fire Department encourages residents, neighborhood organizations, and community partners to get involved in helping build a safer and stronger Oswego. Additional information about program services, funding, eligibility, and upcoming events will be announced in the coming weeks. ๐Ÿš’
