A simple framework for your first 90 days:

➡️Days 1 to 30 | Foundation: Establish your AI use policy, define approved tools, identify 3 to 5 low-risk pilot use cases.

➡️Days 31 to 60 | Pilot: Run your first AI-assisted analysis using de-identified data, validate all outputs, start building an internal prompt library.

➡️Days 61 to 90 | Expand: Train additional staff, document your most-used workflows, share what you've learned with leadership.

Most teams experimenting with AI hit the same wall: the outputs aren't that useful.

More often than not, the problem isn't the tool. It's the prompt.

A strong AI prompt for FQHC work does four things:

1. Defines what data you're sharing
2. Specifies what you want AI to look for
3. Identifies the audience
4. Requests a specific output format

Instead of "summarize the financials," try: "Review this month-end summary and identify the three largest budget variances. Explain possible causes in plain language appropriate for a board presentation."
