I graduated with my Master of Art’s degree in Intercultural Studies!!! I am thankful to everyone who has helped me on this journey...my professors, mom, dad, José, family, and friends. It was a very emotional day, and I’m still taking it all in. With or without a degree, life is about continually learning and growing. Sometimes it’s hard, but so necessary, to shed our old ideas and embrace new ones. The MAIS has equipped me to encourage all people to embrace “the other” and choose to set aside our biases and prejudices so that everyone feels a sense of belonging and inclusion.
