🚨 THE 10-SECOND LLC TEST

If you cannot immediately answer these five questions:

1. Who owns my LLC?
2. What does my LLC own?
3. Who can sign for my LLC?
4. What happens to my LLC if I die?
5. Is my LLC part of a larger ownership structure?
. . your LLC may need a checkup.

A man can spend his entire childhood surviving what he should have been protected from . . . and then spend his adulthood becoming what he should have been surrounded by.

He teaches himself discipline because nobody taught him consistency. He learns emotional control because he grew up around chaos. He learns money because he remembers what it felt like to go without. He learns how to love because he knows what it feels like to be neglected. He learns how to lead because nobody ever showed him what safe leadership looked like.

And here’s the part people miss:

Sometimes the greatest evidence that a man has healed isn’t that his children understand his struggle. It’s that they DON’T.

They think stability is normal.
They think being protected is normal.
They think Dad showing up is normal.
They think having options is normal.
They think ownership, planning and inheritance are normal.

That’s the victory.

Because breaking generational cycles isn’t just about giving your children more money than you had.

It’s about giving them fewer wounds to recover from.

Keep going.

One day, somebody may call the life you fought like hell to create . . .

‘a good childhood.’

People think estate plans are expensive . . . until probate introduces itself.

The most expensive document is often the one you never completed.

I’ve watched families spend months—sometimes years—waiting for probate court approval while mortgages, taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs continued to pile up.

And if you own property in multiple states?

Your family may face multiple probate proceedings in different court jurisdictions.

A Will is an important document.

But many people don’t realize that a Will and a properly funded Trust serve different purposes. In many situations, a funded Trust can help eligible assets avoid probate altogether.

The goal isn’t simply to leave assets behind.

The goal is to leave your family with options instead of obstacles.

Don’t make the people you love pay the price for - planning you intended to do “someday.”

A Will is a set of instructions to the probate court. A properly funded Trust is often designed so your loved ones don’t have to rely on the probate court in the first place. That’s why I don’t just draft documents—I build ownership systems that are designed to protect families while they’re alive and long after they’re gone.

🔥 Your children shouldn’t have to start where you started.

The goal isn’t just to leave them something when you die.

The goal is to build something while you’re alive that keeps working after you’re gone.

A house.
A business.
Investments.
Insurance.
Intellectual property.

Then put the right ownership structure around it so what you built doesn’t disappear in one generation.

Because generational wealth isn’t simply leaving your children money.

It’s leaving them a HEAD START.

You fought to get in the room.

Build it so your children OWN the room. 💯

LLCs are tools.

Not collectibles.

They’ll tell you inheritance is about how much money you leave.

I disagree.

The real question is:

WHAT DID YOU BUILD AROUND THE MONEY?

Because $1 million handed directly to the wrong person can disappear.

But a properly designed structure can potentially turn assets into something that survives children, grandchildren, divorces, lawsuits, creditors, bad decisions — and time.

The wealthy don’t just think about WHO gets the assets.

They think about:

WHO OWNS THEM.
WHO CONTROLS THEM.
WHO BENEFITS FROM THEM.
AND WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY’RE GONE.

That’s where trusts, holding companies, operating companies, insurance, investment accounts, real estate, and succession planning can begin working together instead of separately.

Stop thinking:

“What am I leaving my children?”

Start thinking:

“What am I building that my children may NEVER have to rebuild?”

Because the goal isn’t simply to leave your family money.

The goal is to leave them a SYSTEM capable of keeping it.

SAVE THIS. One day, your family may understand exactly why you did. 🔥

Deion Sanders didn’t look at that boat and say, “One day, I’m going to buy a boat.”

As a little boy sitting on a bucket, fishing with a cane pole beside his stepfather, he looked across that water and thought:

“I WANT THE LAKE.”

Whew.

Because everybody reading this may never be able to buy their “lake.”

Your lake might be 50 acres.

A family home that’s finally paid for.

An apartment building.

A business.

A farm.

A building with your family’s name on it.

Or simply enough money that your children don’t have to start life from ZERO like you did.

And maybe you won’t get there in your lifetime.

But what if your job was never to finish it?

What if your job was simply to make sure your children don’t have to start where YOU started?

Maybe you buy the first piece of property.

Your daughter buys the second.

Your son grows the business.

Your grandchildren inherit all three.

And because you created the trust, the ownership structure and the rules NOW, what took you 40 years to begin doesn’t disappear in 40 days after you’re gone.

That’s GENERATIONAL WEALTH.

It isn’t always:

“I bought the lake.”

Sometimes it’s:

“I couldn’t afford the lake…

so I built a family that eventually could.”

And maybe the most beautiful part of Deion’s story is what he named the pond behind his home:

Lake Willie Knight.

His stepfather’s name.

The man sitting beside him on the bucket.

Think about THAT.

Maybe your children won’t remember everything you bought them.

But one day, they may stand on something THEY OWN…

because YOU decided generations earlier that your family deserved more than a bucket beside somebody else’s lake.

You don’t have to own the lake today.

Just make sure your family is moving toward it.

And when you finally get something worth keeping…

PUT A STRUCTURE AROUND IT SO THEY DON’T HAVE TO START OVER. 🥹💯

Your parents may have taught you how to SURVIVE.

How to work hard.
How to pay the bills.
How to keep food on the table.
How to make something out of nothing.

And there is NOTHING wrong with that.

Because survival was the assignment for a lot of our parents.

But maybe OWNERSHIP is ours.

Maybe our children shouldn’t have to start where we started.

Maybe instead of only teaching them:

“Get a good job.”

We also teach them:

Own the company.

Own the LAKE. (h/t )

Instead of only:

“Save your money.”

Teach them:

Own assets that make money.

Instead of only:

“Buy a house.”

Teach them:

Own real estate through the proper structures.

Instead of leaving them whatever happens to be left when we die . . .

Build a TRUST that tells the money, businesses, property and investments exactly where to go — and how they’re supposed to benefit the family.

Because here’s the generational shift:

SURVIVAL teaches you how to make it through today.

OWNERSHIP teaches your family how to control tomorrow.

Your parents didn’t necessarily fail you because they didn’t teach you ownership.

They may have simply taught you the lesson THEY knew.

Now it’s your turn to teach the next lesson.

Their assignment was survival.

Your assignment may be OWNERSHIP.

And your children’s assignment?

MULTIPLICATION.

That’s how a family changes its trajectory.

One generation survives.

The next generation owns.

And the generation after that learns how to NEVER START OVER AGAIN.

Somebody in the family has to finally say:

“We’ve struggled long enough.”

Not just work harder.

Not just make more money.

But actually BUILD something that survives us.

Because changing the bloodline isn’t just about becoming the first millionaire.

It’s about becoming the first person who makes sure the NEXT generation doesn’t have to start over.

Own the business.

Own the real estate.

Build the holding company.

Establish the trust.

Create instructions for what happens when you’re gone.

Because the real flex isn’t saying:

“I MADE IT.”

The real flex is your grandchildren being able to say:

“Because of what they built . . . WE MADE IT TOO - WE NEVER HAD TO START FROM ZERO.”

🔥 Somebody has to be first.

Why not YOU?
