Helped a homeowner get her condo ready to sell by power washing her back deck and mossy siding. It is amazing to watch a project like this give an old patio new life.

Enjoyed learning a bit more about the many reasons woodpeckers may be interested in your home. They may be hunting for insects such as carpenter bee larvae, storing an acorn, or hoping to find a nest cavity. It's been a busy summer, and Oxford friends new and old are preparing for winter. I enjoyed working on some troublesome woodpecker damage and replacing an old sink garbage disposal unit with a new one this week. This morning's plan: tackle an overgrown area and get it under control for a new customer.

It’s been a pleasure to install safety grab bars in the homes of quite a few of our Oxford friends. One of the most satisfying things I do.

Added a bannister to 1867 plaster wall. Steep and narrow back staircase previously designated “for the pets” now quite a bit safer for the humans. Somewhat tricky due to lack of studs in the wall and an old closet that was eliminated to make the stairwell. Extra supports and a pushed out top connector were reasonable modifications to mount a handrail in an unusual space. The result is a simple, affordable safety upgrade. 👍
