As a NC license security provider every officer have gone through the proper background check, training required by the NCGS 74c. We require our security officers to take continuing education classes, attend safety meetings, have annual physical exam, psychological personality, and integrity testing. In addition to pre-employment screening, we issue random drug screens. Our security officer starts above minimum wage and are paid according to their skill set. They receive quarterly assessment on personal skills goals and their job performance evaluation. All security officers are required to be of good character, friendly, courtesy and have honest attributes. OPS hires only serious security professionals that are looking to further their career. It’s not about the numbers, a job or a body count with OPS. Our officers are trained to handle irate situations, dealing with the public, crowd control, evacuating procedures, and first aid. Our Armed Security Enforcement Division are ready to be a deterrent for possible escalations. In the event an OPS’s officers have to diffuse a situation. They are qualified to handle the situation in a safe and professional manner.
