Founded in 1951, Rakar has become one of the leading manufacturers of components, connectors, and insulators for the Aerospace and Defense Industries. On June 9, 2017 Rakar was acquired by Theresa Padilla who has worked at Rakar since 1980. When Rakar was founded, the Aerospace Industry was up & coming and became the focus of our specialization which began by making molding machines, transfer mold

s and components with newly developed materials. We began to manufacture components for Lockheed Martin through its wholly owned subsidiary Sandia Corporation, who has efficiently and effectively managed Sandia for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration for nearly two decades. And for clients that we still manufacture for today such as Amphenol Aerospace, Eaton (formerly Cooper Interconnect), TE Connectivity (Formerly Tyco Electronics), Smiths Connectors, and ITT Cannon.
