As part of this new phase, I want to share thoughts, ideas, and perspectives that resonate powerfully with me. So get used to seeing some important words written by my nephew, Ryan Farnsworth, who is on a journey battling ALS at the young age of 30. I hope you experience the hope and joy in his words that I do.

Returning:

Places and things I have seen that may never come to be,
And I’ve sought solace within bright shards of memory,
Finding myself stretched thin across ‘if’, ‘when’, and ‘then’,
Now I return to you.

Finding you at first only in those fleeting moments,
Weak and weary from some long journey nowhere,
You wait for me where you have always been,
Now I return to you.

In your presence I find more of myself,
As I awaken to this gift of life I am living,
Always new and bright and beautiful,
Now I return to you…

And I am so very grateful to be here.
