The best community work happens when people come together with a common goal. Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with others who are committed to investing in the next generation and creating brighter futures for our youth.

Tip Tuesday:
Build Independence One Step at a Time

Students with disabilities often thrive when given opportunities to practice skills independently. Instead of completing a task for them, try breaking it into smaller steps and providing support only when needed.
Small successes build confidence, confidence builds independence, and independence opens doors to future employment and community involvement.

Every step forward counts!

Tip 2: Practice arriving 5 minutes early for appointments to build punctuality habits.

Our community is so awesome! S/o to the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Paducah and all of the community partners who worked hard to put together the Alpha Cares Community Health & Wellness Fair. It was wonderful seeing people connect with resources, receive health screenings, and take steps toward healthier living.

Community impact happens when people show up for one another! Today was a great example of that!

I enjoyed attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for Paducah Day Nursery’s newly renovated space. It’s always exciting to see investments being made in environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a reality!

Another great morning at the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Monthly Power in Partnership Breakfast!
Today’s speaker, Steve Powless, delivered an insightful presentation titled “The Next Chair at the Table.” His message challenged attendees to think differently about leadership, influence, and the responsibility of preparing the next generation of leaders.

One of the biggest takeaways was that true leadership is not just about having a seat at the table—it’s about helping others earn and succeed in the seats that come after us. Investing in people, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for growth are what leave a lasting impact.
As a business owner and educator, I was reminded that leadership is less about titles and more about service, mentorship, and building pathways for others to succeed.

Thank you to the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce for another valuable networking and professional development opportunity. Looking forward to applying these lessons as we continue Building skills. Unlocking potential.

✨ Monday Motivation ✨

This week, we’re celebrating two amazing students who are stepping confidently into their next chapter.

One student recently graduated high school (s/o to the class of 2026!!!!) and is now preparing for college; a major milestone that reflects hard work, perseverance, and growth.

Our second student has officially been promoted to her junior year (with all A’s I hear) and shared that she finally feels like she’s found her direction in life. There’s something powerful about gaining confidence in who you are and where you’re headed.

Both students are reminders that success looks different for everyone. Sometimes it’s crossing the graduation stage and sometimes it’s discovering your purpose along the journey. Either way, growth deserves to be celebrated.

Keep believing in yourselves, your future is unfolding one step at a time!
