GMENI Marine Electronics & Supply is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for talented individuals seeking to join our dynamic team. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated service technician to fill a new position within our organization.

This position will carry out the boarding of vessels on the Inland Waterways in order to make repairs to navigational electronics. Applicant must be willing to travel for up to three weeks at a time. Most overnight travel is 1 or 2 days, but extended days are always a possibility. Applicant should be willing to work long days, some of which will be in all weather conditions, and all hours of the day/night. After an initial time, the new hire will be required to take 24hr call in a rotation with other technicians.

Candidates should:

Have reliable transportation (preferably truck/SUV) that can be driven to any part of the country at any time, receiving mileage reimbursement in return.

Be a self-starter, and able to work most days alone in a journeyman type position

Have the ability to lift weights of 60lbs over his/her head

Be able to climb ladders and stairs many times in a shift

Comfortable working in high locations

Comfortable working on the water

Possess a safety-oriented mindset on the job

Have strong troubleshooting, and logical thinking skills

Be comfortable working in small spaces

Possess strong computer skills

Possess basic residential electrical knowledge

Possess the ability to use a variety of hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, and pipe wrenches.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
