Animals are great for kids. These are our cows and they have helped the boys out tremendously. Animals can sense when a kid needs help. I've seen kids go from being upset or even sensorily overloaded to being calm. Take some time this summer to visit some animals.

Let's talk about church.
Many times, I would get discouraged because my kids wouldn’t sit still, going from talking to playing. I then took a deep breath and started taking things with me to keep them still. Yes, they are 12, 10, and 9; my oldest has autism and they also have ADHD, but they need something. My two older ones take drawing pads, and my youngest takes small, quiet fidget toys. We are also a no-screen-time family during church, which keeps them still and allows me to listen to the message.
Parents, don’t stop going to church; find things to help them stay still.

One thing about ADHD is getting worked up. He was up most of the night and game times got changed. He got worked up. He was emotional when he got pulled from the game for another kid to go in. I could see in his eyes that he was worked up. They didn’t win, which made it all worse for him. He fell asleep in the car very hard.
This is real life with ADHD. They get worked up. They get so focused it overwhelms them. By the end, they are exhausted.

It's time to brag about the 7th grader going into 8th. He made a goal and achieved his goal. This has never happened! He made the AB honor roll! Not only did he make the AB honor roll, he got a level 5 on his math FSA, a level 3 on the reading FSA, and a level 4 on the civics EOC.
This is what the right accommodations can do. The right teachers by your side can do.
Don't give up, parents; keep fighting for your kiddo!
