We are no longer directly battling with the City of Palestine.

Their risk liability insurance paid for by tax funds & provide by TML, tax funded lobbyists, are representing & defending bad behavior of Attorney Ron Stutes.

Makes me wonder if they were to prevail if they will be teach the City Attorneys how to pad their own pockets with tax funds working without checks & balances.

Then sieze your property by filling a lien gained by civil court judgement. Or search your property through civil discovery without due process or warrant. Because it happened to Jerry Laza, Lawnmower Man. In the sunlight with the blessings of the court...

How do they even defend this with any amount of integrity?

Can you imagine trying to defend yourself in a court of law, Texas State District Court to be exact, and one of the first rulings the Judge makes is to block a law?

Restrict a law from being shown & read in front of a jury?

Would a court of law still be without the LAW?

What authorizes the hiring of an attorney to file suit?

The client gives them permission or asks?
Ron Stutes filed suit before the authority of the City of Palestine (City Council) knew about it. How could they hire him for something they knew nothing about?

It is in their job description? Attorney Ron Stutes was under a contract that state absolutely no where he is given that authority.

The City Manager at the time, Mike Alexander, gave him permission?
The City of Palestine is a Home-Rule city with a City Council/ City Manager form of government. Only the City Council has the authority to authorize through unanimous vote & issuing an ordinance or resolution. There was never a vote. There is no ordinance or resolution.

The City Budget?
There was never an expenditure allowing payment to any attorney to file a suit & pay themselves close to 1/2 a million dollars above their signed contract with the City of Palestine. Anywhere else that constitutes embezzlement.

So, every judge from Texas State District to the US Supreme has ignored the fact Ron Stutrs filed the lawsuit without authority.

Is that really what we want to set as a president? Is this what we want to be allowed? No checks & balances in government?

Texas Municipal League is defending this action so next they will be going to every City in the State of Texas & teaching how to circumvent due process and embezzle tax funds.

Hey, Ron Stutes is so proud he got away with it he openly admitted it under oath in court. He knew they wouldn't do anything, hell, the judges never ruled against him.

What is the Lawnmower Man Lawsuit...

When the government destroys your life just because they can.

When the government spends over 1 million to try to TAKE something they could have bought for half that.

When the government uses the court system to punish you for defending yourself against an unauthorized lawsuit filed by a contractor without permission, or due process.

When a contract attorney (Ron Stutes) embezzles hundreds of thousands of tax money and the City Officials fail to protect the citizens in other words, do their job. Who really ran the City?

When the court system from Texas State to US Supreme Court ignores the rule of law and the fact the Contract Attorney Ron Stutes admitted under oath that he filed the suit without permission as well admits in front of dozens of other City Attorneys that he filed the suit to do an unwarranted criminal search. That search produced absolutely nothing but still they continued to ruin Jerry Laza's life.

When you learn a life lesson in how heartless the government and judicial system really is.
