Today we brought in the 1989 Porsche 951S to get an oil change. Simple job that took most of the day as an OPV decided to stick and the engine was starved of oil momentarily. We removed the OPV, cleaned and reinstalled. And it then ran smoothly with full oil pressure. However we checked all related parts, crank bolt to make sure the oil pump was properly torqued to spec. This required the removal of the starter motor and install a flywheel lock. And then we also checked the oil pressure sensor by reading the OHMs it was good too. No more tappy tappy, and Andy is happy happy.
