A man dubbed the serial "butt-sniffer" is back behind bars after police say he was caught targeting shoppers in California again.

Police say 39-year-old Calese Crowder was seen crouching down and getting close to women to allegedly smell them at two different stores before officers tracked him down. He's now being held without bail on suspicion of violating his parole.

Crowder is a registered s*x offender with a string of similar arrests in Glendale and Burbank, California dating back to 2021, including a viral 2023 incident at a Barnes & Noble that was caught on camera.

FINAL UPDATE- Detectives Maria Borsani and Bryan Victoria-Garcia have diligently worked to locate Laverne traveling today to Philadelphia and Camden.
Thankfully, we just received word that Laverne has been located by Philadelphia PD and is safe. Her family has been notified.

UPDATE- Our detectives have worked on the search for Laverne all day. We have located surveillance video of her boarding a bus heading for Philadelphia. We are in contact with the Philadelphia PD and her family members in Philadelphia.

MISSING PERSON- This morning, the ACPD was notified that Laverne Harvey, a 64-year-old black female, left her hotel room on August 13 and has not returned. According to family members, Laverne suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She was last scene wearing the same outfit in the photograph.
After an extensive search, Surveillance Center personnel tracked her to Jackson and Ventnor Avenues entering Ventnor City at 6:45 PM last night.
Anyone with information about Laverne's whereabouts can contact the Criminal Investigations Section at 609-347-5766 or the Communications Unit non-emergency number at 609-347-5780.

Alex Garland is a 13-year-old boy who has been reported missing from Wayne County.

📍 Alex has been missing since approximately 6:30 a.m. after he was last seen on Methodist Church Road in northern Wayne County. Search teams are actively searching the Meadow Creek area.

• Age: 13
• Longer dark hair (recently grew it out)

👕 Last seen wearing:
• Green T-shirt
• Gray sweatshirt
• Black jeans
• Black tennis shoes
