Wouldn’t it be nice if your light switches told you exactly what they controlled? 💡

You move into a beautiful new home… and suddenly every wall has a bank of switches.

Which one turns on the kitchen lights? Which one controls the patio? Did you just turn off an outlet? And hopefully that wasn’t the garbage disposal. 😅

Control4 Lux Keypads help eliminate the guesswork.

Instead of a wall full of traditional switches, Lux Keypads can be custom engraved and backlit, clearly identifying exactly what each button does. But they can also do much more than simply turn a light on and off.

A single button can be programmed to control an entire experience:
💡 “Evening” - Adjust multiple lighting zones at once
🎵 “Entertain” - Set the lights and start your favorite music
☀️ “Daylight” - Open the shades and adjust the room lighting
🌙 “Goodnight” - Turn off designated lights, lower shades, and prepare the home for the night
🏠 “All Off” - Shut down multiple areas without walking room to room

And because they integrate into a professionally designed Control4 smart home ecosystem, those same elegant controls can work alongside lighting, motorized shades, whole-home audio, TVs, climate, security, and more.

The result? Less clutter. Less confusion. More control.

At Praetas Technologies, we design and program smart-home systems around the way you actually live, combining powerful automation with controls that look like they belong in a luxury home.

Out with the old, in with the new! 🔄

This Palm Beach homeowner was ready to say goodbye to an aging gate intercom system and upgrade to something that looks - and works - like it belongs in a modern luxury home.

Our team replaced the old call box with a new UniFi G3 Intercom Station, bringing the property’s front gate into the modern era, and adding it to their newly upgraded UniFi camera system.

The UniFi G3 Intercom gives homeowners a much smarter and more convenient way to control who enters their property, with features including:
🔹 Built-in camera & two-way audio – See and speak with visitors directly at the gate.
🔹 Remote visitor access – Receive a visitor’s call, communicate with them, and grant access remotely instead of having to walk out to the gate.
🔹 PIN code entry – Family members, trusted visitors, or service providers can be given convenient access without needing a physical key.
🔹 QR code guest access – Create digital access credentials for visitors that can be scanned right from their phone.
🔹 Phone, NFC card & keyfob access – Multiple ways for authorized users to enter without relying on a traditional gate remote.
🔹 Apple & Google Wallet / Touch Pass support – Compatible users can simply tap their phone or supported device for convenient contactless entry.
🔹 Built for the outdoors – With an IP65-rated enclosure, the G3 Intercom is designed to handle outdoor installations and the South Florida weather.

The result?
A cleaner entrance, easier access for the homeowner, better control over visitors, and a much more modern first impression.

Whether you're replacing an outdated gate intercom or designing an entirely new access control, security camera, networking, or smart home system, Praetas Technologies can design, install, configure, and support it from start to finish.

Outdated technology doesn’t have to stay outdated. Let’s upgrade it.

Plan first. Install smarter.

At Praetas Technologies, a reliable network does not start with drilling holes or mounting equipment — it starts with a proper design.

Using UniFi Design Center, our team can map out a customer’s unique home or business layout, simulate Wi-Fi coverage, plan access point placement, and visualize the full network before the installation begins.

That means fewer surprises, better coverage, cleaner communication, and a smoother install from start to finish.
This technology also allows us to clearly show our customers the “why” behind each part of the design — where equipment is going, how coverage is being planned, and how the system is built to avoid weak signal areas before they become a problem.

From luxury homes to offices, restaurants, gated communities, and custom low-voltage projects, Praetas is always looking for smarter ways to deliver networks that are done right the first time.

Better planning. Better communication. Better results.

This is what happens when display technology becomes architectural art. ✨

This LG 1.9mm fine-pitch “Kinetic LED” video wall is a 20-foot-wide by 12-foot-tall installation made up of LED panels that move in sync with music while displaying vibrant digital artwork. It’s part display, part sculpture, and a striking example of how far modern AV technology has evolved.

While this specific installation is designed for large commercial environments like malls, airports, and showrooms, it highlights something we see more and more in residential and business spaces: displays are no longer limited to standard wall-mounted TVs.

At Praetas Technologies, we specialize in unique TV and AV installations where design, function, and clean ex*****on all matter, including:

Custom cabinet TV integrations
Motorized TV mounts
Hidden wiring and equipment concealment
Displays installed in unusual or challenging spaces
Clean, professionally integrated AV systems

Whether it’s a TV built into custom cabinetry, a motorized mount designed around the room, or a display solution that needs to fit a very specific space, we help make the technology look intentional, not like an afterthought.

Team building, career growth, and a little friendly competition. 🎯

Praetas recently sponsored an employee celebration with IEC Florida East Coast Chapter at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch , where our team enjoyed a day of sporting clays, great food, and time together outside the normal workday.

IEC-FECC stands for the Independent Electrical Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter — an organization dedicated to education, apprenticeship, training, and professional development in the electrical and low voltage industries.

For Praetas, working with IEC is about more than attending events. It’s about investing in our team, supporting skilled trades, and helping create real career paths for the people who make our work possible every day.

Strong companies are built by strong teams — and strong teams are built through training, mentorship, opportunity, and moments like this.
And of course, everyone was rocking the limited-edition Praetas tote in style. 😎

Thank you to IEC-FECC and everyone who helped make the day a success!

From rough construction to a clean finished exterior, this is what outdoor technology should look like. 🔥

At Praetas Technologies, we work with luxury remodels, custom homes, and new construction projects to bring top-tier technology outside the home without compromising the finished design.

For this project, our team helped integrate:

📹 Discreet exterior security camera coverage
📶 Reliable outdoor Wi-Fi and network connectivity
🔊 Outdoor audio solutions for patios, pools, and entertaining areas
🏡 Clean low-voltage planning that blends into the architecture

Outdoor technology has to do more than work, it has to be installed cleanly, perform reliably in Florida conditions, and look like it belongs.

Security. Wi-Fi. Music. - Outdoor Living Done Right.
