Interior limestone restoration underway. While media blasting is a key part of the process, much of the work happens behind the scenes, careful mitigation, protection, cleaning, containment and overall site logistics.

Preservation is about choosing the right materials—not simply covering the old with something new.

Progress continues at the historic Deering Estate in Palmetto Bay, where our team is restoring the exterior finishes using BEECK mineral stain rather than conventional exterior paint.

Mineral-based coatings are particularly well suited to historic masonry. Instead of creating a film over the surface like many traditional paints, the mineral finish works with the masonry substrate, allowing it to remain breathable while creating a durable, natural-looking finish that respects the character and texture of the original building.

As you can see, this is a careful process—and the transformation is already taking shape.

At Provive Group, our goal is never simply to make a historic building look new. It’s to understand the materials, preserve as much original fabric as possible, and help protect its legacy for generations to come.

It’s always rewarding to revisit a project that challenged our team and showcased what Provive does best.

Today, our crew returned to the Faena Hotel for a mandatory site review—reminiscing about the Mammoth project while preparing for our next venture at this iconic property.

For us, the work doesn’t end when a project is completed. Staying connected, reviewing our work, and understanding the evolving needs of the property are all part of how we continue to serve our trusted clients.
