Few things bring me a greater thrill than a good treasure hunt. I’ve been chasing that feeling for as long as I can remember. As a kid, every weekend my mom would drag me to yard sales, and what started as a reluctant outing quickly turned into a full blown obsession. There’s something magical about spotting beauty where others might overlook it.

You all know I love Frederick, MD for its incredible antique stores, but Palm Beach is really in a category of its own. The eye, access, and level of curation these dealers have is truly next level. You’ll see a strong emphasis on neoclassical, chinoiserie, regency, and mid-century styles which makes sense given Florida’s aesthetic, but honestly, if you’re patient, you can find just about anything here.

I’ve been on the hunt for a 19th-century Gustavian daybed for ages, and I finally found the most stunning one at Faustina Pace. In the same afternoon, my mom and I stumbled upon a bamboo chair for $37 at Goodwill. That’s the beauty of Palm Beach — the thrill spans every price point, from investment pieces to rare steals.

But beyond the beautiful objects, the experience is what really keeps me coming back. The shop owners and dealers are so warm, generous with their knowledge, and deeply passionate about what they do. You don’t just leave with a piece, you leave having learned something new, with a story to tell, and a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and history behind it all.

And that’s why I’m totally addicted to antiquing! But I need to know, what are your best treasure hunting finds??
