Its been awhile since my last posts. Very busy working my "day" job with Mobile Airport Authority. Trying to be safe out there and protecting as many people that are still flying. I do still find time to fly to different GA airports and see a pattern of neglect. Some times its very small things that are starting to show (lack of customer services, lack of information) and in some cases big things like (runway neglect, safety neglect, security neglect). I do realize that not all airports have big budgets to spend on the very nice things to have, however many of the issues that I see can be resolve with proper planning and maybe some help? Be well my friends stay safe!!

Attended General Aviation (GA) Conference at Zhengzhou China! What an honor to be invited to speak about managing and operating an airport business. Representing Hanson Professional Services I spoke about developing your business plan, marketing your business and working your customer services. Plus I was honored to be part of the opening ceremonies for the Aerobatic Air Show. The Chinese GA market is growing despite heavy challenges. The issues of airspace, aircraft ownership, airport development, and airpark development are still present today, what is encouraging is that they are communicating and trying to work through. The conference was attended by high level government officials and industry leaders. We are helping them with training and management of aviation business. Overall an exciting trip, and I even was able to tour the Shaolin Temple!!

Sun and Fun 2018! Aviation Consulting Solutions visited Lakeland Airport for a productive event but in some ways sad event (I’ll explain later). The good:
1. Attended the CFASP meeting hosted by Roy from Flagler Airport. Lots of upcoming projects in Florida. I’m always amazed at how lucky we are to live and work in a positive Aviation State!
2. Met with some old Airport management friends and caught up with what’s going on.
3. Met with Chinese delegation for a tour of the event. The Chinese envy our aviation events and are working to have their own for the future. Stay tuned we are heading back to China next week!!
4. Lots and lots of planes and lots of business this year! Is it sign of a healthy economy?? Let’s hope it continues into next year.
The Sad:
1. I learn that my dear Uncle Héctor passed away in PR. He was a great man that left a lasting legacy.
2. The T-Birds or Thunder Chickens as I call them had to cancel their appearance.

All in all a productive 3 days for us. If you get a chance to camp out, make sure you do it’s the best way to see and experience Sun and Fun!!
