"Nobody's going to get as excited as you—about what YOU do."

Such valuable words from our incredible guest speaker, the inspiring Michael Granam, owner of Good Vibes Nutrition Of Palm Coast, at last night's first APEX Meeting!

Michael shared his personal journey—what inspired him to start a business and how networking transformed his success. He emphasized the power of taking that extra step to build real connections through 1-2-1s with fellow business owners in Flagler County.

After his talk, we broke into small groups to discuss networking best practices, tips, tricks, and even some "icks." We covered everything from how to approach conversations with confidence, to the importance of following up, and even some common networking mistakes to avoid. Whether you go into a 1-2-1 with a plan or prefer a more organic conversation, the key is ensuring both sides feel heard and have space to form a genuine connection—not just 100% business talk.

Remember: People do business with people they like. It’s much easier for others to like you, support you, and refer you when they truly know you! So if you're in the early stages of business and feel stuck, I highly encourage you to start your networking journey—you never know where one conversation might lead.

The 1st Biz & Booze Games - A Flagler County Networking Event for 20-39 y/o Owners & Professionals – was an absolute hit!

It was so exciting to see so many young professionals in one group, creating such a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment for us all to "talk shop."

I feel incredibly lucky to have such an inspiring group of entrepreneurs in my close circle who helped make Wednesday such a success.

First off, a massive shoutout to Michael Caycedo, a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, for teaming up with me to put this event together and working through all the details of what we hope to build with this group.

A HUGE thank you to Patricia Mendez for capturing the night so beautifully – your photos are amazing! 📸

Greg Abramowitz, owner of Matanzas Bookkeeping, hands down one of the most top-notch guys I know, stepped up to handle check-in like a pro.

And of course, a big thank you to SunBros Café for letting us use their space – truly my second home.

We had 35 incredible individuals come out, and we’re so excited to grow this community of young professionals in Flagler County. Stay tuned for details on March’s Biz & Booze Games – I’ll be sharing them ASAP!
