We've all had projects where key resources are pulled from a project. As a project manager what should you do? Rework the schedule to show the effect that lost resource has on the project. The effect on both the timeline and budget. Then the decision becomes a dollars and cents decision. Update the project risk document with the impact and include in the current period reporting. This keeps the project team and key stakeholders aware and also communicates your attention to detail and level of tracking.
