CASE FILE: MARILYN MONROE’S HOUSE
This June, Palm Springs is celebrating Marilyn Monroe Month, marking what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday.
As part of the celebration, my Erika joined hundreds of women dressed as Marilyn Monroe, helping set a world record for the largest gathering of Marilyn look-alikes (1,037 Marilyns).
The event sparked a conversation.
Not about movies or fame, but about the house where Marilyn Monroe spent her final days.
Years ago, one of the home’s owners invited me to perform a feng shui consultation on the property. After walking the house, reviewing the history, and rebuilding the floor plan, I completed a full classical feng shui analysis.
What I found surprised me.The overall chart of the house wasn’t bad at all. In fact, it showed strong potential for wealth and success.
But one bedroom told a very different story.
Marilyn reportedly chose a secondary bedroom rather than the home’s primary suite. According to my analysis, that room carried patterns associated with health challenges and relationship difficulties.
Then August 1962 arrived.
A temporary monthly influence entered the room, intensifying an already difficult health pattern.
Does this mean feng shui caused Marilyn Monroe’s death? No. Feng shui is not fate. People make choices, health conditions exist and life is complicated. But,classical feng shui teaches that environments can either support us or place additional stress on our lives.
Most people never consider the energy of the room where they spend one-third of their lives.
Maybe they should.
