Our main goal is to begin the investigation by trying to prove that there are no paranormal occurrences. This does not mean that we do not believe y

ou, only that we want to rule out any normal possibilities. We want to help you resolve your problems, not make them worse by falsely claiming any paranormal activity. Discretion is important and we will not parade your problems to any media. Everything recorded or filmed will require your permission before posting. We do not provide any medium, psychic, religious, or exorcism services at this time. However, we can assist in finding reputable people for those if you desire. We are non-secular and do not discriminate for any reasons. However, we do reserve the right to not provide services or end services for any reason. Before any investigation occurs, you will be asked to do a phone interview followed by an in-person interview. The in-person interview does not need to be at your home or place of paranormal activity if you choose. The interviews are for both yours and our safety and to determine if any investigation is worth spending time on. For example, if a place had a history of paranormal activity but no occurrences have been witnessed in years, it probably wouldn’t be worth the time and effort hoping for it to occur again. If you would still like to share your story, then we would be happy to hear it. Past events might be helpful in showing patterns. Things we are interested in studying:

I need to catch up on my reading. Old World Magick for the Modern World by Patti Negri. I got to meet Patti briefly at last years paracon in Ventura. She was super nice and I participated in her seance that night. Her book was really good. She explains her magical history and gives several examples of practical spells. It matched my thoughts about magic, especially that idea that you can make your own magic. She talks about how some of the rituals could be placebo, but placebo is real and therefore it makes the magic work. I might even try the weight loss spell which is mostly about setting a goal and keeping two jars as a visual of your progress. Or I might try some dragon magic because who doesn’t want a spiritual dragon guardian. I love reading about magic and I try to come up with designs that incorporate a bit of magic into them. This book helps lay it out in a fun practical way.

There is one thing essential to paranormal research and thats an—excuse me—a damn fine cup of coffee! I’m enjoying the diner theme from AREA52 I’ve also been watching Twin Peaks and now I need a Double R Diner mug. I’ll be at the LA show for the Area 52 It’s Probably Nothing show so if you’ll be there let me know!

We killed it at the Gothic Market at the AV fairgrounds! It was super fun. We met a lot of great people and heard so many amazing stories. I learned about so many local places being haunted that I had never heard of. Everyone had fun checking out our random stuff. My Yucca Man crazy board was a big hit and an insane amount of people had additional sightings or stories about it. Who would have thought that the high desert was such a hot spot for Sasquatch sightings. I think I preferred this to Paracons because it always feels like everyone is competing at those events. Here we could just relax and get to know more locals. Thanks for the advice on engagement and thanks to everyone that stopped by!

It will be at the AV fairgrounds in Lancaster CA for the Goth Market by the Grimoire Academy on Saturday July 18. I’ll probably show off my equipment and make a few signs asking to share their stories. Wish me luck!

Haunted Southern California and California’s Haunted Route 66 by Brian Clune. These two books from the Haunted America series were excellent. I was specifically looking for places in So Cal that I didn’t know about so I could research some more. I’m trying to find more places in the desert since the Los Angeles and San Diego haunts are pretty well known. From these books, I think I’ll try to check out Oro Grande above Victorville, and the Harvey House Train Depot in Barstow. There’s also several interesting spots in Pasadena. The research that Brian put into these is extensive. For each location you get a few pages of history followed by the paranormal goodies and reports. You can tell that he’s actually been to these places and interviewed or even befriended the locals. I can’t wait to try it some of these places myself. Happy hunting!
